GSP was confused

Yeah right lay and pray, he was exciting to watch or nobody would have watched him. Goat.

He portrayed himself as the karate guy, always with a GI and a headband. This is him going to the cage

He even made a Japanese tattoo on his chest:

He used to run in the snow and scream: WAAAAAAAR

But once he stepped into that cage, he would go for the flying double under instantly:

He was a safe fighter, he won 50 rounds, never finishing a fight. He became the safest fighter of them all after he got KOd by Serra. Its all good though, but why do you think he likes to be viewed as a Bushido fighter, a Karate guy, when he was THE MMA resler?

He has a jab from boxing, mixed with wrestling takedowns, and he dresses as a karate guy = MIXED martial arts.

If he was actually using karate often I'm sure he would come in dressed as an thai fighter just to spice things up.

Why do you and so many others feel a need to discredit the guy so much lately? Are you guys mostly Anderson fans? BJ Penn? Jon Jones?

You have misunderstood the topic. Please read again slowly.

Odd that after Serra, he brutally finished Serra and Hughes as a boring, safe fighter.

He won 50 rounds fighting most number one contenders how insane is that. Will never see such dominance again. Good point ts

You are confused.
GSP is revered and deemed GOAT by a good number of MMA fans.
And their claim to fame is exactly the fact he never lost a round in most of his fights. despite it ending as a decision.

And here YOU are, making threads about him even AFTER he retired....

...it seems his plan worked.

It's called being smart. He knew being well rounded was key to being a champion and he became arguably the best MMA wrestler of all time. He is still a Karate guy and has his black belt. That was his base martial art.

GSP never layed and Prayed he was always active from the top.

All time GOAT right there, boy.

His striking was karate point style though ,in and out .Hit not get hit , kick and out etc.

It's just like when Mayweather would talk about whooping someone's ass and then he'd go in there and point fight

His style is boring.

The GOAT talk around here is all garbage.

GSP is a boring fighter and has always been.

He had to become a wrassler cause wrassler's were dominating. That Matt Hughes armbar got George training grappling and really ramped it up before the BJ fight. Got to give it to George to be smart enough to train with the Gracies, then Greg Jackson, and then Tri-Star and Firas, he was ahead of his time when most fighters were still fairly one-dimensional.
