How do you rate this fight?
For me it's still one of the most memorable fights I've seen, both fighters were at their peak in that fight imo, took a lot from each other and went slightly downhill from there. Great battle of styles, and amazing fight IQ and adjustments from Saint-Pierre to overcome the challenge. Top 10 fights ever in my book.

Condit has perhaps the worst TDD in MMA history.

Condit was tailor made for GSP to decision.

Still pains me as a condit fan that he couldn't convert that head kick into a tko.

I really enjoyed that fight. After the long layoff it was good to watch GSP get back at it.

Still pains me as well. Good point obviously about the TDD, although Condit has always been very dangerous from his back, especially back then. Don't remember it being that one-sided though, maybe because I was too invested in it to see the truth

Lnp fest from GSP per usual

I haven't watched it in a long time, but I think I only gave Condit one round. He fought his ass off and made GSP work harder than anyone else did around that time, but it wasn't a close decision.

This coming from a guy who has been a Condit fan for over a decade.

Carlos Condit was a beast back then.

People often don't realize just how good GSP's competition was because of how his opponents eventually fell off the map.

The welterweight division was STACKED back then. Carlos Condit was a beast. You had Jake Shields, Alves and a bunch of other guys.

It was a very good fight.

While GSP did dominate, never felt like Condit gave up and obviously very close to finishing GSP at one point.

Also showed off GSPs heart and ability to recover.

Gave us this great image too:

Beautifully timed head kick by Condit, but GSP showed everybody he can take one and recover.
Very fun fight and as a big GSP fan it was great to see him back in there. Ahhh good times. When my friends cared enough about MMA to come over and watch the fights.

This fight was probably the peak of the UFC for me and my interest. UFC events in Canada at that time were huge, every bar in town was packed to see the pay per views, the UFC seemed much more exciting, and it wasn't just because of GSP. It's a completely different era now and none of the bars here show UFC events anymore, I suppose that fight kind of symbolizes that time for me and I will admit I kind of miss it.

George's beat him everywhere. Took a full head kick and recovered into a dominant position. So much for not having a chin. Also ate Hendricks big hosts and didn't drop once.

GSP usually dominates his opponents and brings the fight where he's the most comfortable.

But even as a supporter of GSP I have to admit this was a crazy moment. One of the rare times GSP got rocked. Everyone was watching.

Amazing incredible contest. Carlos was at his peak as a fighter, GSP coming back from a long layoff and terrible injury. He battled through adversity, got seriously hurt and refuse to give up. People in the past questioned his heart but after that fight there was no question. All time top five for me.

Good fight.

Great build up with GSP making his return after knee surgery. It gave us one of the best primetime scenes:

I watched it in a bar with a bunch of friends.
My heart almost stopped when GSP got kicked on the head.

It wasn't a close decision by any means, GSP was just too intelligent and his team and him planned this fight well, but still, it was an exciting fight.

Kind of crazy looking back at it considering he made an even bigger return fighting after a 4 year lay off. Who would of thought.

All time great Condit lost to greatest of all time GSP.
