GSP vs Anderson Silva, Pride rules

Except when Anderson was healthy in the rematch, Chael could only control him for 1 round going at 100%, completely draining himself while doing zero damage. Lutter the same, even Dan Henderson. Prime Silva could not be controlled for long on the ground, everybody who tried had short success and was quickly finished in brutal fashion shortly thereafter.

Don't even start with GSP who is naturally much smaller, weaker and has the weakest skin out of any ATG fighter. Silva with his pointy limbs slaughters him from the bottom(if GSP even gets him there) forces standups and massacres him eventually.

Yep you're right, Silva by strong skin

Anderson was getting finished by Ryo Chonan under Pride rules.

He’d have nothing for the GOAT.

I think we all know the answer

Anderson beats Gsp in ufc, pride, boxing, karate, street fight, adcc...

You know what? They can fight NOW, in boxing. 50 yo Anderson vs 40yo Gsp. Anderson still demolishes him.

Peak vs Peak??

Anderson by finish somewhere at the 12-14 min mark

GSP would be good enough to survive the first round, but he'd be exhausted and KO'd in the second. Anderson was just too skilled and had too much size and range, GSP wouldn't be able to get his jab going, and it would make his grappling predictable.

As great of a offensive wrestler that GSP was, Anderson was just as good defensively. You can legitimately say that Anderson went 20 years in the sport without ever being in serious trouble on his back in a ground and pound scenario, he was the master of mitigating damage and then murdering you afterward.

GSP is a good striker when you compare him to other wrestlers and grapplers, but Anderson would be a total nightmare. The Pride ring would help get Anderson down, but it would also easily allow Anderson to corner GSP and beat him down. GSP would put up a valiant effort, but would go down after 10+ min of difficult takedown attempts from the outside and being totally picked apart standing.

Young WW Andy vs Young WW GSP is a more competitive fight imo. Because Anderson was much more drained and depleted.

Advantages for Anderson: He gets to be juiced to the gills with no consequences.

I think Anderson would beat GSP more often than not, but the gap between them is much less than the gap between Anderson and Jones of that era would have been.

Anderson submitted prime roided to the gills, undefeated SHell and Hendo in title defence fights.
Gsp has submitted washed up Matt and journeyman Trigg, not title defences.
That’s mma lol, Anderson subbed Hendo after whooping him on the feet, and Chael has gotten subbed via triangle 1000x

GSP would get a takedown and win via points in an ADCC match

hughes has been subbed many times too and was washed up by that point.
hendo was not whopped on the feet, anderson was angry cause he got taken down in the first, decided to take hendo down in the second round, ended up submitting him.
lets not forget gsp couldn't submit hardy

so why didn't he look good after usada?
He looked like someone who tried to bulk up and was holding more fat and water than usual, it’s not like he deflated and looked like Vitor post USADA

Some of you guys have literally no clue what you’re looking at lol. Go watch some MPMD videos or something
