Yes. People aren't aware that when mousasi finished out his murderous 8 fight contract, title shot was put in Mike's hands and he responded mousasi bisping is bad for business....I'm the champ and I call the shots. So the 90 day nego- started and was almost signed at day 75ish as mousasi said to send the rockhold fight papers over( there was some tentative agreement on table ) but UFC was to cheap to give an in prime mousasi a reasonable bump. Gegard saw writing on wall and just opted for sweet deal at BMMA. Darren Till is considered like a top 3 middle today. Drink that in. Some of UFC s heavier divisions have come full circle.
Prime Andy would be champ today ( or prime him and the evolved version of Israel we see today would be one helluva of a fight)
 
He did what very few have done then bowed out at the very top. He messed up nothing

Whitaker wasnt even in division????
Bisping said no to Romero, Mousasi and Souza ( which was actually a winnable fight at time but wouldve lost to jacare too).
He had tunnel vision in avenging most infamous ko of all time against an undeserving 47 year old. Dana bought into it cause HE COULDN'T MAKE MIKE FIGHT SOMEONE. He was a draw - the only reason why he wasnt stripped.

He has never stopped evolving as a fighter. People don't realize but Georges lifestyle is basically being in a training camp. Even since he retired.

Lol you do realise that Khabib has to chase GSP and not the other way around right? Khabib many times stated he wanted GSP and stated that he is his and his father's dream fight, but GSP never sure about taking it. If GSP really wants this fight, all he has to do is let the word out, and you can 100% guarantee that Khabib will come back this fight, and will arrange to have one last fight with his mother.

I've become a Whitaker supporter ( love the way he carries himself ) but I can see the turning of division. The way people view / viewed a beatable Yoel Romero and the downward spiral of all those regressing/ aging sforce middle stars was an opportunity that Rob took full advantage of. There was a time when gastelum wanted no part of middle division when Dana threatened him on account of missing weight UNTIL the very timeline I'm speaking about.

Whitaker , obviously, the best of the welters that ascended during this period. I cant get a true gauge of Rob because of his injuries that he was sustaining but I saw the Till fight and prime Anderson would KTFO that Whitaker who was sloppy and over committing on his punches ---- he made Darren Till look technical on feet.......another welter ( a huge one at that) who has ascended to higher weight because he CAN have success today in UFC s middle- division

Whittaker became interim champion then Whittaker missed the remainder of 2017, as he was recovering from a medial knee injury to his left leg. The GSP fight happened at the end of 2017. Where was Whittaker at the end of 2017?

They actually need each other but gsp has already conceded he ain't fighting khabib at 155 ( where gsp would get wrecked. ...and he realizes it). Khabib shouldnt have to move up to 170. Gsp went down the lightweight talk a few years ago .The bed has been made & fluffed up.

People think I dont like gsp but that's just not true. In fact , hes 39 ( pushing 40) and in great shape and could probably come back in 9 weeks and beat a Masvidal. This is where the state of the UFC divisions ( 170 & up) are at but georges really doesn't " like to fight " and will acknowledge hes declined a bit but probably still good enough to compete in todays mma but hes not going to win title and hes not fighting khabib so I dont know where that leaves the gsp chronicles. Hes only getting older and hed only come back for one more " big fight" ..... which - again- I dont see happening.
