Note this is not fighter bashing this is just a highly educated opinion

GSP is, in my opinion highly overrated. He was above average at best and good if I’m feeling generous, he has an average resume as i will show you now.

With GSP his “notable wins” are:
Sean sherk (bum LW)
BJ penn(fat LW who is overrated)
Hughes (overrated one dimensional wrestler)
Kos (worse version of hughes, bum ww one dimensional wrestler)
Hughes 2( older version so more trash)
Fitch(trash boring wrestler who had no business in mma)
Bj penn 2 (greased, nothing else to say really)
Alves (22-11 bum)
Dan hardy (lol)
Shields (trash version of fitch)
Condit (bum one dimensional striker)
Diaz (overrated)
Hendricks( GSP lost)
Bisping (one eye journeyman)

As you can see his resume is lacking and quite frankly it is trash, very trash and full of bad fighters overall. His career was lackluster to say the least and I honestly think he isn’t even top 10 ever. Never beat a good fighter and was a cheater with mediocre striking, average jj and average wrestling with good lay and pray, boring fighter who shouldnt be allowed to fight due to how bad he was. This is an opinion and not fighter bashing as I respect gsp on getting away with roiding during his career.

It is not uncommon for newer fans. If you were there in their primes, you would see it differently.

In some years, the younger fans will say the same about the current fighters they don’t know.
