I don't think anyone called her retard, or making fun of her aspergers, ...I think most people's objection to her is that she was used by others to be a mouthpiece and spokesperson for climate change.

the primary objection being is when a child, like Greta is used as the mouthpiece for anything political, they become immune from criticism.

Yes, she's 18 now, but this stuff has been going on for years. At least since she was 16.

She just raised awareness of an issue the overwhelming majority of experts agree with her on. It's not like she said anything unreasonable. There's nothing wrong with her being 16 when she made that message, she's the middle man here and is passionate about that role.
