On short notice. Does this prove boxing is overrated? Artem and Anderson both beat former world champs in boxing. Conor stole rounds off Floyd and almost KO’d him with an uppercut and body shot. Jake Paul is the face of boxing right now and is destroying elite sparring partners.
Wilder who throws looping sloppy punches and lacks technique is also considered a world class boxer. This just shows UFC > Boxing
No, but there ARE an incredible amount of bums in boxing. For every elite guy who really takes the sport seriously and is trying to "make it" as a champ, there's 50 guys who just show up to take some level of a beating and train very little if at all. Some of these people looked border line indigent.
I used to go to local fights in Atlanta all the time and it was some sad stuff up until the main events, mostly one sided showcase fights or worse.
I can remember a card where out of maybe 8 fights the towel was thrown in during the first round in I think 4 of the fights?
Promoter had to get on the mic to prevent a riot.
A guy with a name, even as minor as Rahman with our much ability can easily be pushed though a few bums to create the appearance of credibility in hopes of getting a money fight.
Also, absurd size matchup, Hardy looked like crap.
