Unfortunatly for me, the sort of stuff I want to buy dosent really seem to go on sale. Not enough make it and not enough people buy it. The AR market has so many damn manufacturers and toys to customize those things, the lightweight hunting rifle....not so much.

I need to decide if I'm ready to step into some crazy caliber....I ditched most of my job typical caliber guns all I have left in those is a vanguard in 257 wby and a MKV in 378wby.

I have around 1000 rounds of ammo stocked up for the 257 and about 500 for the 378, I honestly can't see ever needing to buy ammo for those again since they rarely get used.

That 6.5-300 would be sick in an ultra lightweight with a muzzlebreak on a 28" barrel, that would be a long range killing machine for sure.

Yeah that is the new model, you can tell by the handle. That's a pretty good price too since msrp on that fucker is 2300 dollars. I'm going to have to think really hard about that one.

Wearherby has been posting all sorts of stuff on Facebook about the new 6.5-300 and that thing looks pretty sweet too....

$5 a round, damn. Probably burns through barrels pretty quick. Probably doesn't matter if you're just hunting with it.

Yeah I guess I could probably buy like 200 rounds and just reload. Honestly though with a gun like that, maybe a box a year. Get it sighted in and shoot it a few times to get used to it, then 1-2 rounds for the actual hunting.

I don't even shoot my 378 anymore because it hurts and it's like 7 dollars a shot. Even though I have ammo for it, I just do t even bother. 257 wby ammo can be had for under 40 bucks a box if you look around.

If I was living somewhere where I was doing lots of antelope hunting, I'd probably have one already. I really wonder what it's like side by side with a 257wby though. 257wby and 240wby were supposed to be the ultimate ideal calibers for antelope, now the 6.5-300wby. I should probably stop before I start going down the rabbit hole like I did a few years ago looking for the perfect magnum cartridge.

The one firearm BF purchase I may make is my SuperNova. I know I SHOULD get a duck hunting one but I want the Tac one with pistol grip just because I think I could have more fun playing with it more.

I want that fuckin' VP9 for $450. Let some asshole come in here and tell me how getting fucked out of a deal isn't an infringement.:mad:
