News Grant vs Santos OFF

How many last minute cancelled fights has there been in UFC this year 2025?, its ridiculous, we are only in the beginning of April and there has been so many fights cancelled at the last moment.
 
Sucks bad for Grant, he's 39 now, and the clock's ticking.

His lazy ass 30 year old opponent has now withdrawn from 3 straight fights and hasn't fought since Jun 2023 - when he had to be rebooked against Johnny Munoz Jr because he withdrew from that fight previously as well.

He's also like 2-1 since 2019.

Cut this fuckin' bum and get Davey an opponent for next week.

Does anyone actually have any theories on the recent uptick of last minute pull outs? Never seen anything like it.

Davey Grant is part of that older generation blood and guts european fighters that needs the respect they deserve.

Would love to see Davey land a better fight on an upcoming card soon

DC said it's because in his day fighters would cut the day before weigh ins and go to bed 1 pound over.

He said guys today go to bed 7 pounds over weight and attempt to cut it the day of.

The reason behind it is I guess fighters sleep like garbage the night before weigh ins doing the old style that had less missed weights. By waiting until the morning of they get good rest but have a much higher risk of the weight cut going wrong and that's why there is more cancelled fights.

Grant will be paid - he showed up and made his contracted weight
 
hasn't fought in 2 years, third cancelled bout in a row with this no show. Feel like he might be pink slipped monday morning.
 
Its always the best fight on the card that gets cut:mad:

Santos is part of the Aloe Vera hyperviolence team but his weight-misses are freaking atrocious.
