I understand that he might just be trying to promote his gym or get some extra cash to invest in the gym, but this shit is a pure negative for his gym's reputation and the reputation of the whole gracie brand overall.

If he doesn't listen, they need to hire that smiling guy who handled the medical industry big wig.

You have to feel for them in a way, as grappling has moved on from them, and the guys who they taught BJJ were the ones who made them irrelevant.

Brother they had Rolles Gracie make an absolute fool of himself with 1 round of cardio a decade back, Kron being a one dimensional BJJ guy is not their lowest point at all.

Shit, Royce's son lost to some bums in Bellator, that's worse.

They'll send Ralph to deal w him.
Wasn't he the one who died in a jail cell? That was probably a heavier rep hit than Kron's UFC career.

How about a good old fashioned blanket party before we talk about murder for hire.

It's their own fault for living in a fantasy land of "Gracie Jiu Jitsus is all you need" and a complete refusal to evolve.

Also the sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is only where it is today because so many other sports contribute to the whole of grappling.

Not 20 years ago, leg locks were HIGHLY frowned upon in the jiu jitsu world.

If their ego prevents them to learn takedowns from wrestling or judo for example, the urgency of finishing akin to catch, then they are where they belong, in the purgatory of irrelevance

Kron isn't a one dimensional BJJ guy though. He has no dimensions at all.

His BJJ is shit.

He's clearly a white belt. Bro has been held down with complete ease now by both Jourdain and Bryce, and all he could do on his back was lock his feet and hold on. Dude had literally no clue how to do any sweeps or subs or anything.

Even when he somehow got a bit of an armbar on, he eventually just let go because he had no idea what to do with it.

It's hilarious when he's just there on his back not having a clue and he moves his hips a bit or something and Rogan goes spastic saying his opponent is suddenly in huge danger, when really Kron was doing nothing at all.

White belts with 3 months training could hold this guy down in his guard until he died of thirst.

Black belt lol. He got that black belt or whatever he has in a McDojo.

Kron's BJJ record

He is elite on the ground as far as pure BJJ goes, but MMA isn't that and he's also a decade removed from when he was a competitive BJJ player. It's not the first time this has happened to an elite BJJ player before, Roger Gracie who is considered the best BJJ practitioner ever got held down for one round by Tim Kennedy.

Well, he's a white belt now and clearly hasn't trained in a long time.

No decent BJJ guy would have to just sit there, lock their legs, and do nothing because they don't know what to do.

That link lol. Says his fav position is Closed Guard haha. Fav position and he is legit terrible at it now.

Well
Kron at least broke the Gracie curse when he beat Caceres (besides that, the last Gracie to win at the octagon was... Royce i believe)

Krons approach to fighting is just plain stupid. I hespect of heem. I hespect of Hickson but Kron didn't need to be so terrified of wrestling with Bryce. He could have worked in the clinch with him more and if Bryce took him down it's where he wanted to be anyways. But Bryce isn't some super wrestler. Those guard pulls were ridiculously uncalled for.

Why the hell Gracie Barra should intervene?

Rickson Gracie has no affiliation at all with Gracie Barra but with Gracie Humaitá ( ran by his close brother Royler. He does not have a good relationship with Royce afaik).

And even so, Kron seems to have a terrible relationship with his father nowadays, which is sad considering Rickson now has Parkinson.

he probably has a silly reasoning for why he goes out and loses, and doesn’t care to fix why, if you asked him

Kron is from the old guard of BJJ. If you follow the top adcc grapplers. Most of them wrestle to submissions. A New era of grapplers are entering mma.
