Hello derelict War room posters, and degenerates.

All pristine and pure individuals get there media from reputable establishments like NYT and WaPo, but some of us degenerates like our information to come from the unwashed, non-corporate owned media.

I am a big fan of BoilingFrogs.com as an alternative source of media. I would include HBO VICE as dirty, unwashed, and degenerate media as well. I've been checking out the actual VICE website a bit, and I feel pretty safe in calling that clean and corporate media today.

Please post all your degenerate media sources that you think have some value. I would like to find some new media sources.

Please leave the infowars, and Alex Jones stuff for another thread. I am asking for alternative media, not news theory.

I listen to The Young Yurks / Secular talk. Not because i agree with them but because it helps to find out what the other side is thinking. They are hardcore progressives and biased but somewhat entertaining.

For the conservative side Ben shapiro, Bill whittle, stefan molyneux

I'll have to check out the conservative sources here. I have been exposed to far too little conservative ideas outside of the mainstream in recent years.

Gavin McInnes's show on anthonycumia.com

VICE News has some very interesting reports and special coverage, but you have to filter out their obvious neo-liberal bias. Sometimes RT also has some interesting documentaries and alternative views not seen in Western MSM, but again you need to use your head in avoiding Russian propaganda mixed in there.

Every media source comes with its own bias and agenda. Never read news as it is, and always use your own head to analyze and piece together information.

He's really good. I found his stuff only recently, but am very impressed.

You should know he's an anarchist. I don't know if that makes him more or less favourable to you, but it's noteworthy.

If you want to watch a real interesting episode, I highly recommend the episode with Peter Joseph. If anyone is into economics, they will absolutely love this podcast.

Yeah, sort of, and an atheist and a free trader. He's still very good at seeing many things as they are and not afraid to say things as he sees them. He has his heart in the right place. That's a lot of stuff I appreciate the hell out of.

Really? Good stuff from a conversation with the Zeitgeist guy? Molyneux must be even more talented than I imagined.

Don't get me wrong, I like the guy a lot, despite that I disagree with most of his economic policy, his religious views, and his general view of people, but his social commentary is dead-on. I've seen more episodes than I'm proud of.

Quick hint, if you're not already on it, is to watch the podcasts on youtube at 2x normal speed. You'll save yourself a lot of time.

Of course I also recommend https://voxday.blogspot.com . Vox is easily the greatest influence on intellectual matters I've encountered. It's always edifying to read stuff from a man who is legit a lot more intelligent than I am.

I'm not sure I'm going to do that, since I like to chew on what I'm listening to when listening to his podcasts, but thanks for the tip. When I have to study stuff, I often use TTS engines and rig them to 4x speed.

I like democracy.now. There are a lot of shit shows that I check out and then follow up in any decent parts.

4x seems wildly quick. If someone speaks really quick I go to 1.5 instead of 2x. They say that people speak around 225 words per minute, and we hear at around 500. I don't see a downside to speeding up vids to 1.5.

4x is about the speed at which I read visually. It was a bit of a chore to learn to listen at that speed, but gradual shifts of 0.1 at a time took me there fast enough.
