This is exactly the same for me. I probably have about 60 digital games for my Xbox One and only 6 physical discs. Microsoft got me on the digital band wagon once they started doing games with gold on my 360.
Now between EA Access, weekly digital sales, and 4 free games a month physical games are starting to go the way of DVD's. I've been on a call of duty kick lately, because I never played any of them on my 360 until about a month ago. I played them all up until MW2, so I went to Gamestop to pick up MW3 for $6.00 instead of paying $40 for the digital copy. While I was there I bought Ghosts and Advanced Warfare for my X1 for $11 a piece (they are $60 each for the digital copies)
When I'm purchasing a digital game I'm already programed to wait for the download, but seeing as I've been gaming since the Atari 2600 when I pop a game into my console there is something that really pisses me off about having to wait 45 minutes to an hour to play it.
Yep it's way more convenient. I only go to gamestop to buy a used copy of a game and try it out. Then I'll return it and buy the digital version if I really want it. Only sometimes do I just keep they physical and that's if they digital is asking for like double what the physical is. I'll pay a little more but I'm not paying double. Unless were talking about like 10 versus 20.
I do hate waiting to play games though it's so annoying. The only saving grace is that the single player games will let you pretty quickly like 10 minutes after putting in the disc or downloading the game. The only problem is sometimes I get through so much of the single play part of the game that eventually it tells me I need to wait for the rest to download.
