In your original post you literally didn't understand what I meant by using the word "medicine". I'm still not sure you do actually.

I wonder what a doctor today will tell you about any of these things and if they are still used. If you go into a hospital today, there is no difference to 100 years ago right? If you break your leg today will you trust into the knowledge they accumulated over the last centuries and let them use modern equipment or you gonna say "no doc, you were wrong 100 years ago so I can't trust you". The fact you still think this is an good argument and actually took the time to look up these images is pretty amazing and funny.

Lol, so the "uneducated peasant" that noticed smoking was terrible for their fitness and what appeared to be trend between the old smokers and the wasting death were wrong to disregard THE science and should have listened to the doctor?

To answer your question, if acute like a broken leg I'd trust the science as its been shown to be safe and effective over a hundred years.
What i didn't do was follow THE science in regards to covid treatment because the narrative was bullshit. I don't know 1 pro thinker that like me regrets this decision but i know plenty that regret following THE science....
