Oh you just wait, after Trump is done my guess is that the pendulum will swing back even more to the far left (economically). Trumps cabinet is going to focus on bringing even more wealth from the middle class to the 1% and its going to hurt.

Democrats should just lean back and let Trump do damage, sure they have to pick the peaces up afterward but they are used to that.

They also need to cut the corporate neoliberals out of the party leadership and lean hard into progressive populism while cutting through the lies about who is actually going to help with jobs and the economy.

Well, libs didn't invent smugness in 2024. They've been getting accused of being smug since I can remember. This smugness wasn't a problem in 2008, 2012, 2016, or 2020 when Democrats beat the living shit out of the Republican candidate in the popular vote.

It only became a problem in 2024 with a combination of an exceptionally weak candidate in Harris and an exceptionally charismatic one in Trump.

But no one seems able to tap into this cultural tide like Trump has. And there have been plenty of attempts. I don't have a crystal ball and we'll have to wait and see but I'm not holding my breath that someone will appear in the next 4 years.

Trump got it started because he wasn’t afraid of being cancelled and banned and all that crap. Now they’re a plenty of alternative media reaching significant anudiences and twitter is no longer a leftist echo chamber. The framework has been set. The figurehead is less important. They just need to communicate effectively and not allow themselves to be shouted down.

They also need to prove they can govern over the next several years

Im just pointing out that we went through a period of GLOBAL inflation. Every country was hit (except Japan for some reason). It wouldn't matter if Dems or Repubs were in power.

But the Libertarians in charge now are going to teach you a thing about their philosophy and i would be worried if i where in the middle class or even worse in the working class.
