For people that know, I've had a few spinal surgeries in my day (lumbar and cervical). I've made a thread about the last 2 cervical fusions, but I'm shit at finding things online (even my own stuff). I've had a total of 5 cervical fusions surgeries in the last 5 years with 2 being this year alone. I'm scheduled for my 6th cervical fusion in around 2 weeks time.

You might be asking why so many fusions? Well, I'll just say not all doctors are created equal, so we've been having to repair what my previous Dr royally screwed up. Baring some unforeseen circumstance this will definitely be the last one. I'll update right here when I wake up. Cheers.

No doubt in my mind you're going to beat the absolute piss out of whatever you're dealing with. Get after it.

Man, that sucks. I’ve been fortunate to not have any serious issues with my back, though it did just go out on me. But it’s not major.

I’ve heard that once you have back surgery, you always have more.

I didn’t know you’d been through all those surgeries Sherbro, you’re a dogger, you will get through this
Surgery is always daunting leading up the the procedure. And then once it’s done, you’re like “That was no big deal.”

Back surgery may be a bit different though. Especially spine stuff.

Back surgery success rate

While each individual type of back surgery has its own success rate, as many as 40%Trusted Source of back surgeries aren’t successful, overall.
Failed back surgery is so common that the cluster of symptoms experienced after operation is referred to as “failed back surgery syndrome.”

Almost like flipping a coin .

I’d go with core strengthening and changing up diet with advanced amounts of protein, fats and diet . I had herniated disks once and did all that the hack squats strengthened my bodies abilities to handle what and improve balance again it took well over a year I never heard anyone overly enthusiastic after a back surgery stating theeir ability for mobility was like 50% lost .

Anyways good luck back injury is the worst it literally paramount with extreme pain and thudding shocks of it through the ent body if you move even the slightest ways .

Had my first and only surgery in my life so far last year. Good luck and speedy recovery

Diet diet diet!!

I can empathize. A doctor temporarily blinded me last year in one eye. There are levels to this... unfortunately.

Funny you mentioned that, my second cervical fusion with the bad Dr gave me horners syndrome. I woke you with one eye lid totally paralyzed. He killed the nerve that goes to that eye, I had to have it lifted. Since it doesn't produce moisture no more it's constantly irritated. I was dumb enough to let him operate on me after that and that's when he really fucked me up. Check it out, that hardware that's crooked has since been taken out and redone. I had to call the ambulance I was in so much pain after that, my left arm never hurt and I couldn't even lift it when I woke up. Now it works but it always hurts still (not as bad). Shoulda sued for the eye thing. The worst Dr ever. My son was doing clinicals and was in surgery with him. His own nurses told my son that they wouldn't let him operate on their family members.Screenshot_2025-06-08-04-01-45-81_92460851df6f172a4592fca41cc2d2e6.jpg

Also going through the back is way worse. When the dumb Dr messed up my eye he said he'd never go through the front again because of all the scar tissue (said he like to have quit 10 times). My new Dr went through the front twice already with no problem. Smh, I wish I could blow his house up. Lol, it was all unnecessary severe pain. He fucked me up for life.

SO feelz for ya again Pf. Moral support abounds your way. This one is gonna do it !

PLEASE after the surgery limit alky & don't smoke - the doc said both slow bone fusion.
