Ok Sherbros, I guess it’s time for me to go down south. I have never been, I always preferred to go to Vegas, Nashville, Miami etc because I always thought maybe the beach thing wouldn’t be for me. I like seeing/doing stuff but I’m thinking maybe a beach vacation would be ok.

But everybody I work with is always talking about it, my friends talk about it and my girlfriend talks about it so here we are.

Not really a set budget but if it’s below 3k per person, that would be nice. Im more concerned with getting my money’s worth than I am budget. I want to eat good, I want to drink like a fish and I don’t want to get murdered. Good food and atmosphere is the most important. I’m in my early 30’s with no kids and my girlfriend would be coming. She likes hot tubs, I like getting shitfaced and eating like a king.

Where’s some of your favorite places? How much should I spend? Mexico? Jamaica? Help me out here. I want an all inclusive resort

if you're considering the Caribbean "south" I just spent a week in Nassau. Don't go there. The rest of the Bahamas was great though.

Helen, Georgia is pretty cool. Bavarian village up in the mountains with wineries and breweries. Chatahoochee river runs through it.

You are Canadian so Buffalo is like down south for you. I forgot who was the Canadian poster but there was someone who swore Buffalo was underrated.
It probably wasn’t me but Buffalo is underrated. Most people seem to think of it as the Winnipeg of the states but it’s slightly better than that. I’ve caught a few Sabres games there and went out on the town. Not as bad as people say

Buffalo is the Winnipeg of the US? That's the first I ever heard of that comparison. However, it makes a strong argument against going to Buffalo.

The fuck?

I've lived all over the US in the past 25 years and Buffalo is in my top 5 places.

Loved the people and the city.

Weather sucked in the winter tho...

If you goto Mexico Cozumel is ok, Check resort reviews, the economy has been down, so you don't want to stay at some place that hasn't kept up with the upkeep. Since its an island there will be a lot less crime than the mainland.

I can't recommend a place specifically, cause the last place I was at apparently let the service go down.

Rent a shit car and drive around, running stop lights like the locals.
