Goddard's terrible stand ups

What a shit take, the guy in by far the best position to deliver action deliberately chose not to

To be in that much dominant control and not try to take advantage of it is pussy shit not smeshing

Both could do that to each other in a real fight and it's actually easier for the one in control. Dricus still can't get up though.

I don't get why it's good to reward the opponent on the bottom for just playing defensively and hanging on. That hurts the action more than anything.

if its broken up, he should give the 10 seconds breather.

dominant fighter is double disadvantaged by standing up.

It looks like you completely failed to understand the post you quoted.

I hate this shit in mma. It’s mma. If a guy can hold you down for 5 minutes doing nothing he’s the better fighter.

The standups were so random.

One round he lets Khamzat work for 5 minutes.

Another round he stands them up when Khamzat was in a significantly better position.

I mean we all know WHY. The crowd was bored.

But still, some consistency should be expected.
I'd definitely say it was more indicative of corruption from a shithole multi-billion dollar corporation than a ref randomly succumbing to peer pressure from a drunk crowd.

Fuck that crowd. Casual bitches

Goddard has no business ever reffing again. What a disgrace that was.

Goddard could smell khamzat’s whiskers charring from crotch sniffing. He couldn’t save the Swede from himself

The stand ups were un warranted but I understood it from.a fan perspective. It felt like watching a Fitch fight from 20 years ago.

What happened: DDP is shrimping around in circles near the cage while khamzat is following him around in circles - 0 strikes but a minute goes by on the clock, DDP gets to his knees and khamzat is pressing his weight on DDP - 0 strikes landed and another 30 seconds stalls out, DDP gets to his feet with Khamzat on his back - 0 strikes landed another 30 seconds stalls out, khamzat mat returns ddp and they are back in the starting position - 0 strikes landed but another 30 seconds goes by, now half the round has been "positional advancement" and we have had no action.

Goddard' solution, late in a title fight after he's seen the same thing play out multiple times, decides that if Khamzat is gonna sit there with his weight on top of DDP while he's working himself back up to his feet, he's gonna call a break and stand them up.

if he went by the boos he would have had to stand em up every 30 seconds just crazy how many UFC fans only tune in for CTE
Well, its got a lot more flash. Striking involves blood, knockdowns, KOs, TKOs, they lead to ground n pound, and they can lead to submissions.

Grappling? I love it when 2 experts grapple, as long as each one is constantly fighting for a submission

Khazmat is a miracle...his grappling has NONE of that.

I almost wanna watch the fight again just for the boos, confirming that khazmat had turned off the crowd that loved him 2 days ago.

Oh...bUt hE mAdE mOrE fAnS tHaN eVeR.
