Edit: i have a really tought time putting old champions of the lw and below division as being the goat in this divisions, title defences or not this are by far the most improved divisions of the sport so even though aldo has more title defences than max i think max has fought better competition ( plus he won against aldo 2 times )

I'll be giving my top 5 GOATs in each weight class, simple enough really. While I exclude guys who popped for PEDs from my P4P GOAT convo, they will be included without bias on these rankings. Having the number 1 LHW not be Jones, or number 1 MW not be Silva just feels wrong and dirty. I won't be providing a summary with the OP, so if you want my logic, just quote the ranking in question.
Honorable Mentions will be a guy or multiple who could slide into numbers 3-5 depending on the day in my opinion.

Actually a pretty well thought out and good list. I'd change the WMMA a bit and have Schevchenko #2 but overall nice.

Poirier > Ferguson. It’s really clear cut when you look at their resumes. The win streak was overrated

Pretty good list overall...
Franklin too high
Shevchenko too low
Kid Yamamoto should be on there

Stipe
Jones
Silva
Gsp
Khabib
Max
Cruz

Yea for sure.

Peak BJ likely loses to current Ragin Al tbh.

My only real beef with Khabib is that hes leavin big fights on the tabld in absolute prime.

Hard to rate him liwer tgan 3rd or ;th p4p GOAT

Bones
Dc/Khabib/GSP

Uzman closin in...cejudo left fights on fhe table too

Yea Eddie, Conor, Justin, and Max are arguably the 4 best Wins in division history tbh

Khabibs sre Dustin, Conor, Justin, And probably Edson.

Dustin got a legit case soon for #2.

stopped reading after fedor , this threads for the nutthuggers

Talks about excluding PEDs, includes a bunch of PED users.

Fedor was using in PRIDE along with everyone else btw.

You can't make a list excluding PED users. I think everybody uses PEDS.

I don't count PRIDE, cause those guys shamelessly used PEDS.

Cormier, and Khabib are the GOATS. (I think GSP uses, i think Stipe uses)

The issues I have with title Defenses being used in the Liddel VS Rampage argument is, Rampge beat Liddel prior to his title run, than KO'd him to end said title run. Not sure how it holds much wait. Denis Hallman didn't do enough outside of those two wins to be considered greater than Hughes as far as your analogy goes
Neither one of them is GOAT contender at LHW in the UFC. Comparing them head to head is tough as so much of Rampage's career was in Pride. Also the 9 year age gap. In the UFC Page was 7-5 with a 3 fight win streak as his best stretch. Chuck was 16-7 in the UFC overall with 5 of those losses coming in his last 6 fights. He was 15-2 going into his fight with Page for the title. Chuck was on a 7 fight win streak and 5 of those were title fights.

We could dissect their careers but in the end it doesn't matter as neither one can be argued GOAT.

Fedor

GSP
Khabib
Aldo

Mighty Mouse

there you go, there is the list as of now
