Glover vs. Gus: In your opinion, whos the better fighter?

Both are great fighters, but I believe Gus gets the nod.

Gus is the better fighter. His fights with Jones and DC proves that. Most people believe Gus won the Jones fight and I've seen quite a few say they believe he won the DC fight, meaning he almost won the LHW title on two occasions. Look at Glover's performance against Jones when compared to Gus, Glover was completely outclassed from start to finish by Jones.

Gus gave Jones and DC the toughest fights of their careers and should've won the Jones fight. People are talking about Glover beating more top guys, but let's be real, Gustafsson would destroy those guys too. Gustafsson's biggest claim to fame is his losses to Jones and DC, but watch the Jones fight alone and then watch Glover/Jones, tell me who was more impressive and who looked like the better fighter in there against the best guy in the world.

That said, Gus would outclass Glover if they ever fight. Gus would go circles around Glover and pick him apart the entire time. Glover is too slow and plods too much to beat somebody like Gus, a guy with great footwork, speed, power and superior boxing ability. Gus is a bad match for Glover and overall is just the superior fighter. Glover may be more skilled due to his great ground game and such, but Gus would still beat him if they ever fought and Gus will always be a tougher opponent for Jones and DC.

The people saying Glover is a better fighter don't know what they're talking about. I'm guessing they're either just big fans of Glover or they're looking at the names on their records instead of actually paying attention to the fights. Jones already trashed Glover easily, DC would crush him too, but they both went through HELL against Gustafsson.

Gus beats Glover if they ever fight, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a late TKO, actually.

When exactly did this insane Glover hype start? He was judged close to reality just prior to/after the Jones fight. Then overboard underrated once he lost to Phil after that. Now though, since beating old man Rashad this hype has gone insane and overboard the opposite direction.

He loses to all top 4 (JJ/Gus/DC/Rumble). Not on the same level, despite being a great and well-rounded fighter. As a Gus fan I'd definitely like a Glover fight so he can usurp that hype.

WTF do you hae to bring up how many ranked wins some has? Why not look at what each fighter brings to the table, how their styles matchup to each other and other things like size and strength? You could also bring up who they won and lost to but bringing up how many ranked wins a fighter has compared to other as to point who is better is just ridiculous. And Gus gave Jones his hardest match and many believe he should have won, I do.

Glover is the better fighter skills wise since he is more well rounded and has overall better wins. Gus is pretty one dimensional in his game but he happens to have a style that is very effective in mma so he does have some good performances.

I would go with Glover, much more well rounded, has beaten fighters in the top 10. Glover is best LHW in UFC behind Jones and Cormier.. in my opinion, he is super talented and skilled, can beat all the rest I think.
