Why isn't Ishmael Londt fighting Rico instead after he won the contender tournament?

He's a middleweight. This is a division that has Dustin Jacoby in the top 10. I personally never want to see Thompson in Glory again, but middleweight is a weak division.
K1 was known for their super heavyweights and heavyweights and are now known for their 65 kg, 60 kg and 55 kg fighters. Glory has a lot of the best heavyweights, but the division isn't what it was in K1's heyday.
Glory will never be as popular as K1 was for the same reason no promotion, including K1, will be as popular as K1 was. That reason is not some mediocre American middleweight.

That's my point. Glory could drop the middleweight division tomorrow and no one would care. The division could look even weaker in a few months. Coker has shown no indication of giving his "stars" anything but cans so Schilling will drop due to lack of fighting ranked fighters. Levin could drop also if he doesn't find fights. If Lemaire or Barrett break into the top 10 I'm going to facepalm so hard.

As long as they keep active they won't really drop in rankings. Schilling will drop from losing to Kato.
Levin won't drop as long as he stays active and doesn't lose. And since there is a ton of promotions who want him he probably won't be inactive. Also, I guess really more of a question of when he will fight in China, there's like every possibly ranked fight open for him there. Levin is one of those guys the Chinese have fantasy match upped against every damn fighter from 70kg to hw. Sorta same as anyone worth a damn they want to have fight Kyshenko to see if they're actually good.

Who knows? Maybe they are waiting for their next show in Amsterdam for the Rico-Londt fight? Or maybe this is a tuneup for Rico, with the plan to match him with Badr late in the year?

I still can"t believe Zhuravlev didn"t win against that guy. This is a shock! I mean, Pavel the Caiman can beat anyone at LHW. He already won Cavalari in Tokyo.
