For anyone who doesnt know Dugin he is the founder of Eurasianism, a philosophy that combines communism, democracy, fascism, and some other stuff to create a unique flavour of authoritarianism which he believes will unite the peoples of Eurasia or something like that. He speaks English, Russian, French, and German and he has academic publications in all those languages for anyone interested in reviewing his work.

I am trying to see if we can come up with common approved approach to interviewing that applies whether the interviewee is Dugin or Harris or Biden.

Here is my approach so far.
1) Interviewees should not be cancelled because they hold controversial views.
2) Interviewers should ask hardball questions.
3) Interviewees should not set preconditions to avoid hardball questions.

Understanding an adversary is important to counter their methods.

He was even fired from his job at Moscow University in 2014 for calling for war with Ukraine, and he partly blamed Putin for not standing up for him lol.

Greenwald is pretty left-wing, and "west = bad" aligns perfectly with the left’s narrative. Calling out both sides isn’t grifting or convenience, it’s actually admirable, especially for a journalist.

Both Dugin and his daughter were regulars on Russian state tv. That would not happen without Putin’s direct approval. When Daria was killed, Putin sent Dugin a telegram then awarded Daria the Order of Courage.

I think some in the west might overstate Dugin’s influence at times (Putin’s Rasputin) but Dugin clearly has some importance.
