Many teams honor the warrior hearts of Native Americans. Just call them Red Hawks, or Red Wolves.

You might want to learn the history of the the guy that chose the name redskins. George Marshall was a notorious racist and advocate for segregation. The Redskins were the last team in the NFL to be integrated. He would have held out longer but only did so after the threat of losing the use of the stadium. They played dixie before games in an attempt to upset the black players on other teams. Then in his will it was directed that none of the money could go to causes that promoted integration. When he took full control of the team he changed their names from the braves to the redskins. There is no way in hell did Marshall intend for the name to honor Native Americans.

What does that have to do with the team now? Let them honor them now. In the 70s when Bidens kids were in school ,Biden was anti Segregation too. Now he runs the country and is trying to get rid of school zones. Let them do the right thing now.....Calling a team the Chiefs, Warriors, Braves is a symbol of respect. You don't name your team a weak name. Keeping red in the name keeps the colors in tact, and gives the fans some normalcy.

nothing changed for the majority of NFL fans. No one I've met ever calls them Commanders lol.

Aside from living in a hyper-reality where those who get offended easily had to silence themselves from saying the actual name of the squad and had to have a W on the helmet calm their nerves from seeing the actual logo all these years, nothing has changed.
