This is all 100% true, but really if she can make money without the physical risk of cage fighting, why not do it? Better than staying in the fight game too long and getting CTE and/or Parkinson's
 
She should do something different while she’s still young and pretty.
 
Gina retired from the sport in the way that most should. She took a beating that was beyond her ability to overcome and said "adios". If Anderson retired after his rematch with Weidman, everyone would see his career in a vastly different light.

Fedor should have retired after Werdum.

Chuck should have retired after Rashad.

And so on and so forth. So many fighters suffered losses that should have been the end, but continue to fight well beyond their prime and end up with a giant portion of people who shit on them and their legacies simply because they felt the passion to keep fighting, even when it became less and less viable at the highest levels.

I liked Haywire a lot. And I thought her performance in it fit the role.

Disney apparently doesn't share your opinion about her acting skills.

Without looking, I believe it's been 10 years since the first "great" WMMA championship match between Cyborg and Gina. In reality, it was a slopfest. That was Gina's last fight, too. Her last realistic comeback opportunity was against Ronda--an idea both of them toyed with when Ronda was champ. I don't think Gina was very serious, though.

The fact that prime Gina might still be Top 5-10 (which I agree) is telling. There have been a handful of athletic, skilled and dominant WMMA fighters. Besides that, the sport hasn't done much since its infancy when Gina was fighting. It certainly hasn't progressed enough to warrant the number of WMMA main events we see.

She's definitely improved her acting skills over the years. She'll probably never win any academy awards and she found her niche in the industry. Kudos to her.
 
Gina is making millions doing movies. She does not even need to use MMA return promises because she is a part of large franchises.

Every time I've seen the top photo posted here previously, people point out that it is not Carano.

Her awful wooden script delivery was eclipsed in wretchedness only by the GOAT bad actor, Ronda.
