Is this official. Haven’t heard anything, yet.Man props to both guys for taking this fight. Massive step up and dangerous fight for Khamzat which will really show how well he does against the top guys. Gilbert couldve easily brushed this off and said he is too high ranked to fight him. Definitely a higher risk than reward for Gilbert. Dude is showing he is a real deal fighter. I never wouldve thought it would be happening this fast.

If this fight is signed, I'm going to lose my mind. Crazy for Khamzat to take on the #2 WW! I'm beyond excited!Man props to both guys for taking this fight. Agreed! I'm curious if Khamzat can take Gilbert down, and vice versa. What will the striking look like? Khamzat is taller than burns, and has a 4" reach advantage according to UFCStats.Gilbert is extremely skilled. I hope this fight happens. Surely, will answer a lot of questions about Khamzat. And overall just seems like a great stylistic matchup
Maia hasn’t subbed anyone off his back in years, he’s back game consist in hg sweep top control… burns isn’t as good as Maia sweeping people. If burns gets taken down repeatedly he’s losing the fightThat’s the way I am leaning too. When people talk about this matchup or Khabib/Islam-Oliveira, I think they way over-estimate how much the BJJ player’s bottom-game is going to affect the outcome. This isn’t 2004 with strikers getting triangled and armbarred from the bottom and American wrestlers shooting into guillotines every card. We still see submissions but they happen much more often from the guy who is already in control
His bjj is legit. His wrestling is severely lacking. If he had a better wrestling game he'd be a beastHonestly I think Burns BJJ is overrated. Not that he is not awesome at BJJ but I don't think it translated to MMA 100%.
I could see Khamzat taking Giblert down and beating him there. Giblert also does not have the best cardio and durabilty.
I think Marty is by far the most difficult fight for Khamzat. Probably the only WW that can match his strength.
Not saying Khamgoat is a lock against Burns or anything.
