Who Should Burns Fight Next?

Imagine thinking Leon Scott gets a title shot after getting 10-8’d in round five vs. Nate Diaz.
after beating the living shit out of him for 4 rounds.

Diaz fans are delusional. The world does not revolve around them, they're just two washed former contenders

Time for the UFC to knock Burns down in the rankings.

Rankings have made a total shitshow for matchmaking. You’re either the champ or putting yourself in position to fight the champ. Pretty sure beating the biggest hypetrain the UFC has seen in a few years will do that for you.

Idk about adrenaline dump. I think he is chinny.

And im usually right on calling fights. Lets do a bet on the next few events..see who can get more fights correct?

Pfffft...

<DisgustingHHH>

I'd be fine with him fighting anyone listed in the poll except Usman

UFC should rename itself rank squatters. Everyone is refusing to fight the best fighters. If enough top 10 opponents refuse to fight you and you squash everyone below, then you should jump the line. Islam/Khamzat should honestly fight for the title and take it so everyone else has no choice but to lose to them.

Former UFC Welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns appeared on this week’s episode of MMA Fighting’s Portuguese-language podcast Trocação Franca, “Durinho” explained why he has mixed feelings about being approached with the idea of being Chimaev’s next dance partner.

AS THE TS, IN BEFORE STUPID DUCK CLAIMS.

Only reason burns should fight Khamzat if the UFC says winner gets next title shot, otherwise his right to find a higher ranked opponent.

Wonderboy is fighting Belal next month. It's a bounceback fight for him, and even if he wins, I don't think people will be high on him getting another run to a title without beating someone big. Colby would never agree to fight him, so beating Khamzat could propel his popularity and/or standing in the division towards a title shot. On the flip side, if Khamzat beats someone as well cemented at the top like Wonderboy, no one could deny his path to the title.

As for Burns, I'd like to see him vs Colby, even if that's still too big of a fight for Colby right now, who needs a step back. It's an interesting fight between two of the very top.

The sport needs more fighters like this man, doesn’t sit out for title shots, doesn’t duck fights and uses his ranking as an excuse, just wants to fight, get the win and get paid.
How so? because he says so in an interview? He had 2 fights in 2020, so far 2 fights in 2021 and it's unlikely we're going to see him before the end of the year.
Average activity and hasn't taken any fights that don't make sense career-wise.
Seems mostly like a fantasy characterization.

If Khamzat steamrolls burns. I will shut up and board the hype train in the commoner area in the back.

would be a good test for Khamzat, Burns is strong, but beatable
