Seriously tho, wtf has Yair been doing for the last 4 years? The dude is farting away precious years of his career. Since that Edgar asswhooping in 2017 he has only fought KZ, fingered Stephens eye-socket, and then beat Stephens.

This took an odd turn. Very convenient for Giga, but I don't like his chances here.

That's assuming the fight even takes place.

Why? Giga is a much cleaner, technical striker. Yair will come in hot, but will fade fast as he usually does. Not to take anything from Zombie because he's a good striker, but if Zombie beat the shit out of Yair on the feet, Giga will pick him apart and not fall into some cheesy bait.

It's not about what Yair deserves. The UFC has clearly had enough of the guy and is looking to book him against a really bad match up.

He's going to be fighting in Combate Americas or ONE within 18 months.

Main event against Max is a big opportunity - guys that are out of favor with the bosses wouldn't be getting fights like this.
