Obviously the three best MWs in the world. Which fight was better? Which fight was scored better? After seeing both vs GGG, who would you pick in a Canelo - Jacobs fight?

He was countering him rocket scientist/pops

Yes he was. But sadly, your claiming that it's better to land 1 shot out of 8 than landing nothing at all and dodging 7 shots out of 8 scoringwise isn't true.

I watched em both throw and land twice tonight guy, it was a good fight. Ggg missed alot, dont pay mind to compubox thats just a man clicking a button for 1 guy or the other. Use your own senses.
And don't forget to copy and paste the rules because you didn't know what they said, it makes you smart.

Canelo was landing cleaner in return, im not just scoring it on gggs misses. I watched twice already and it was closer than i realized on second watch, i mean razor close.

oh yes, that lucrative rematch that happened 2 years later a did less buys.

Less buys? NSAC aint in the PPV business.... and as SBJJ said, they can't mindread either.

Pac-Bradley 1 did $8.96 mill livegate, and Pac-Bradley 2 did $7.8 mil livegate.

Still big numbers, even if lower than his own.

You just sound stupid pretending you know me or why i have these rules on my phone.
I had to show it to some nut hugging mcgregor fans a few weeks back who couldnt understand why floyd won so many of the rounds.

Anyone else kinda shocked that GGG didn't murder Canelo's body when he had him against the ropes? I kept waiting for him to throw a solid head shot, connect with that and fake another shot to the head, then hit him with the crippler to the body. Canelo was clearly tired AF and a few solid body shots would open that head right up and stop all that dancing around.
I was thinking the same. I think he was cautious because of Canelo's countering ability.

WWE is more real than Boxing aka most corrupted sport on planet. Floyd carrying Conor and this fight shoulda told you that. You prolly have to go back to the 80s not to see a work and even then half were.

Just bullshit Las Vegas nonsense, that's why Floyd fights nowhere else.

Boxing in most places is pretty fair, in comparison. Other countries tend to use international judges during title fights, so there isn't usually the preconceived biases. So its not the whole sport that has a problem, just certain places or promotions.

I think GGG edged out Jacobs, as Jacobs faded down the stretch. probably 7-5 or 8-4

I thought Canelo edged out GGG in a close fight.

For me the biggest take away is GGG has a hard time hitting elite boxers, and himself is hittable.

He really struggled to land cleanly against Canelo, however Canelo jad no problem finding GGG.

feel so bad for GGG, us fans and the media
i honestly don't feel there's a need to do a rematch, i know now that GGG is superior to alvarez
as do millions of people who watched that fight

ADELAIDE BYRD is a corrupt, fixed judge
she has become famous overnight

i don't think NSAC, golden boy or whoever didn't believe the fans & media would protest such a bogus decision, they thought we were stupid
the people have begun and should continue to protest against her
i believe the LA times boxing/sports writer predicted this outcome, if it went to decision, he questioned the selection of judge and her fairness based on prior history. he was right.

u didnt watch the fight

i was at the fight. canelo landed a lot. ggg had center of the ring for most of it but that's about it.

maybe it looked different on tv, but in person it looked like canelo landed way more.

Thought they were gonna rob GGG. They kinda did, just settled for a draw this time.

I mean..obviously Byrd was in Golden Boy and De La Hoya's pockets..But why make it so freakin blatant? I mean cmon? 118-110? You could have done 115-113 Canelo and while unpopular, maybe justified it. Now you're obviously just cheating to cheat and don't even care about people finding out. Do they just get not give any fucks?

Dang, merged threads. It was about comparing GGG-Jacobs and GGG-Canelo, and predicting Canelo-Jacobs.

Both fights were very good and could have gone either way, IMO. Both Jacobs and Canelo did great to deal with GGG's pressure.

As a fight I give the edge to Canelo-GGG because of its sheer intensity.

I do think Jacobs did better than Canelo at keeping GGG off of him and putting him out of his element, even with the KD. I stand by my cards : 114-113 Jacobs and 115-114 GGG (1 even round).

Jacobs has the reach and footwork to prevent Canelo from scoring his counters and he should win a decision, as the beard Canelo showed tonight was solid.

I didn't feel it was wide... Canelo had a lot of strong moments. The fact that GGG's chin isn't even human and might be some sort of steel implant isn't really fair to base a fight on. I mean Canelo wacked him HARDDDD numerous times. He walked right through it but I mean it should count, and it made it a relatively even fight.

GGG had pressure on his side, which doesn't seem to be much of a factor in boxing. It's more of an MMA thing.

GGG took a while to get in gear due to nerves it seemed. If he'd started off relaxed like Canelo and racked up all the earlier rounds, he'd likely have got the nod. But of course it's easy to be relaxed when you know you've paid off the judges and you're too full of supplements and bulky to be taken out by the puches.

GGG wacked him just as many times, and he had ring control. Canelo was on the defensive a lot.

welcome to boxing. home cooking is a time honored tradition

It certainly was close. The (useless) argument was about the need to throw a few punches in order to win a round, but we pretty much agree on tonight's fight being razor close.
