A judge taking a payoff from a promoter
As soon as the fight ended I said to my sister "I'm worried". She said "Don't worry, Golovkin's got it." and I replied "Adelaide Byrd in Las Vegas." It's clear this woman is watching something completely different so her opinion should be discounted. It therefore ends up being 115-113 Golovkin on one card and a draw on the other. I'm perfectly fine with that. A majority decision win for Gennady. It rips your guts out over and over but when a fight this this comes together at last and it turns out to be a great fight , doesnt let anyone down and you are just waiting for this BS everytime. You feel like you yourself got robbed. I would strongly disagree with a close win for Canelo but there were a lot of close rounds but that 118-110 is insanity. Giving GGG only the 4th and the 7th? I had GGG by a few rounds like 95% of the watching world.

Yes, we know how judges can wiggle any way they wish using subjective criteria. I beelieve that landing significantly more punches, walking the other guy down every round, having the other guy running when you land, all equal "ring generalship" and "effective aggression."Showing no wear is not a scoring criteria. Again you are trying to give ggg credit for taking shots. Thats what you call canelo CLEAN PUNCHING. also, Hoping on a scooter and leaving the scene can be called ring generalship.
Rewatch it, i have. He was slipping, blocking, and parrying masterfully. When I think of masterful performances I think of Floyd vs Corrales. You and I can agree to disagree on who won because it was a close fight but I wouldn't go as far as saying Canelo put on a masterful performance against GGG. He had moments but he wasn't consistent. GGGs pressure didn't allow it.
you don't win rounds by eating power shots.
He's probably elated that they didn't actually get to rob him of his jewelry like they obviously intended. Came in to Vegas, handled Canelito in a fun fight, got the public nod, and escaped without losing any titles or belts, or having a stupid loss on his record like Fedor's against TK or Pac's vs Bradley I.Honestly GGG probably doesn't even give a fuck bout the decision after all the money he's making. If anything he's happy about it because now he can do it again and make double the money. Win win for all the fighters and the dumb fans oblivious to how rigged boxing is.
This is what I thought. It was like a demolition derby. With Canelo looking like McGasser doing his most drunk looking Floyd impression. I thought Canelo would win but it Canelo lost very clearly. He is a type recepient of the whackiest judge's scorecards ever: 117-111 vs Lara, 114-114 vs May, being up vs Khan before the KO - it's almost like the fight doesn't even matter, Byrd is going to award atleast one card to him.i dont know how you even rule that shit a draw....ggg had canelo from round 4 on.
this is clear cut corruption
he went off after that with S.A. Smith...
