Come on guys. GGG was being booed before the fight and being cheered after.

This is a case where a very small minority are gonna stick with Canelo for some reason. He(GGG) threw and landed more. Literally 95% of PBPs have GGG winning.

Yet those who predicted Canelo before the fight are arguing that he did somehow win here.

you don't win rounds by eating power shots.
Right. But you do if you trade power shots and you consistently show no wear while the other guy repeatedly hops on his scooter and leaves the scene.

A judge taking a payoff from a promoter
so in your mind de la hoyas plan was to bribe ONE JUDGE to score it for his guy? Not all three? you know one judge can't determine a result alone right? what if that judge decides to turn him in? you think de la hoya would risk his whole career and perhaps freedom on ONE JUDGE maybe being the deciding factor. This is the real world not a Hollywood movie about boxing. Think about this logically.

Two judges only giving Conor one rounds, Byrd having Canelo up vs Khan, Byrd also giving it to Saul @118...... Its like judging has become inconsequential. MMA has so much more finality and that is why it has gotten so much larger and so quickly. Canelo was dead after the 5th and I just don't know how you give him 8-10 rounds of that fight. Despicable.

This controversy is a bit similar to Pac-Bradley I, when Pac looked sharper but Bradley outworked him for 2 minutes or so in most rounds. Interesting to see the dynamics in the way the regulars here saw both fights.

some of the more corrupt shit I've seen. MMA judging is on point compared to this rigged bullshit.

oh god the pillows BS, most of padding is not on front, fight science did study boxing gloves hit with the same force as mma, try harder to disrespect boxing because that one has already been debunked
Whatever man, they are soft as pillows and you can hide behind them

The state commission should just call her in to give a detailed explanation for her round by round scoring. Then suspend her if she can't point out round by round all 10 of the Canelo rounds. Maybe it'll help curb outlier scorecards.

Seriously tried to get more into boxing after the abundance of BS MMA cards. Tonight's fight was good no lie, but the fucking judging just shows how rigged, wack and problematic boxing is. Going back to MMA asap.

There's close to a billion dollars in economics activity surrounding these fights. Of course they're going to control the narrative as much as possible.

Showing no wear is not a scoring criteria. Again you are trying to give ggg credit for taking shots. Thats what you call canelo CLEAN PUNCHING. also, Hoping on a scooter and leaving the scene can be called ring generalship.

I haven't seen the fight yet but ALL of my friends (ALL of them Canelo fans) are saying that GGG won the fight.

I need to watch it soon so I can make my own assessment.

For me Golovkin took at least 7 rounds and thats all he needs to win.

Canelo had flashes of brilliance and did manage to land clean eye catching punches early and late in the fight, but he was on the back foot most of the time and none of his hard punches could cause damage.

Canelo did however fight well in the late rounds which would have tightened up the scores.

Are you kidding? He ate some here and there like teddy said he was fighting at points to keep the ocean away but the ocean is still the ocean and it showed tonight

I don't know what else he could have done. It took him a few rounds to walk down the smaller man and become effective. He pressed 90% of the fight and devoured all power shots with ease.
Pretty much - hard to knock someone out when they're constantly on the retreat and fighting in spurts; nonetheless he won but the house fighter won.
