Gary Antuanne Russell defends his WBA junior-welterweight title against Japan’s Andy “Da Blade” Hiraoka on the undercard of Jake Paul-Gervonta Davis at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida on November 14.

The 29 year old’s title defence represents perhaps the most appealing fight on the undercard of the high-profile, cynical exhibition between “Tank” Davis and Paul. Alycia Baumgardner defends her IBF, WBA and WBO junior-lightweight titles against Leila Beaudoin; Ellie Scotney and Mayelli Flores contest the undisputed junior-featherweight title, Yokasta Valle defends her WBC minimumweight title against Yadira Bustillos, and Avious Griffin fights Cesar Francis at welterweight.

Are they going to wear 12 oz gloves? If so, that is some real pussy shit from Paul.

They should be wearing 10 oz gloves at the very least. Ideally, Tank should be wearing 8 oz gloves to make up for the size disparity.

Paul is an absolute clown.....will never fight a top guy his own weight in their prime....unless he can pay them off....dude is a total disgrace to the sport...

Well yeah. The one time he fought someone his own size and skill level, he lost, even while controlling the entire event.

I guess it's not happening anymore and Bob Sapp is trying to be replacement for Tank

I'm quickly learning that the boxing board is almost as braindead as the heavies when it comes to weight classes. Are you people simply unaware of how tiny Tank Davis is and why that matters?

The reason this will be a fake exhibition and nothing more isn't because of a need to protect Jake Paul, there is a need to protect Tank. Jake Paul hasn't only beaten MMA welterweights, he has knocked out/dropped actual cruiserweights.

People the size of Tommy Fury, old Anderson Silva, the failson, Ryan Bourland or Andre August would dwarf toss Gervonta out of the ring. It doesn't matter that they are washed up, journeymen or bums. This is just reality.
Topuria kills everyone mentioned here in a street fight btw

I meant individually lol
There's no guarantee. Besides, it usually starts out as 1v1 until all hell breaks loose. Next thing you know you've been jumped by a bunch of goons. There's no rules in the street unlike in combat sports. I think Jake Paul would likely KO Topuria 1v1 btw. He's the much naturally bigger man, has a wrestling background, and boxes professionally even if he's nowhere near world level.

jake is the same height as topuria's tallest opponent (although his tallest opponent was one of his most difficult so far being the one that headkicked him) and out of camp topuria is like 10-20 pounds lighter than paul

Jake is a natural 200 pound plus guy. In his fight before last he competed at heavyweight and weighed in at 227 lbs. Look at his frame compared to Topuria. They're several weight classes apart in size. We're talking about Topuria here a guy that used to compete as a bantamweight in his early 20s that now campaigns at lightweight which is only 155 lbs in MMA. Jake would die trying to cut down that much.
