Maybe there is an official looking sign on the wall that says in proper German; RULES TO BE FOLLOWED:
#1. Like Chancellor Merkel
#2. Stack the chairs 5 chairs high only, no deviations
#3. Walk on the right side of the hallway
#4. No more than 3 children in the recreation room at a time
#5. Adhere to these rules above all others

Because that would 100% do it for Germans. They wouldn't disobey the sign. They would burp at you and act unattractive if you did disobey the sign, however. How do I have this knowledge? I frequent the local German American Cultural Center lol.

German culture is organized, and they are a people and culture needed in this world, but they are not perfect.

So true. It's the reason the Autobahn can only exist in Germany, they know and follow the rules. Can you imagine an Autobahn in the U.S.? People here can't even be bothered to use their turn signals.

Germany dominates the EU and has one of the strongest economies in the world with one of the highest standards of living.

the average German is loving life. Despite what ppl around here think.

That is true, also a culture of hedonism and nihilism. I mean, who cares about the future, sure in 50 years our country will not be as good as it is now, but I will be dead and I have no children lol. That is what most europeans think.

Americans should not be talking shit about Germany's politics.

Americans should not be talking shit about Germany's politics.

Why not? Germans talk shit about America's politics all the time.

And let's imagine that Germany was the greatest, most flawless paradise on earth (it is indeed awesome, I made a thread on that subject a year ago), while America was just like Mexico. How would that disqualify Amerimexicans from criticizing aspects of German politics? As if one can only criticize another country's politics if one's own country is, on some objective scale, proven better?

Europeans commonly maintain that Americans shouldn't criticize European politics, while Europeans are free to criticize American politics. It's a hypocritical and lame position.

Your first justification has it's origins in grade school.

In your second reason, you miss the fact that as human beings have a limit to the problems we can deal with at once. So if Germany was the greatest place on earth and America was a shit hole, your hands should be full and criticizing Germany and other places should be the least of your problems (that is if you were interested in solving them). AND it's just hypocritical to make accusations that you are probably also guilty of.

Americans should not be talking shit about Germany's politics.

Germany is the science experiment we're all watching. We know that whatever happens in that petri dish could happen here next. We're watching and talking about what we see, nothing wrong with that.

Great way to spin it. Are you the representative of everyone posting in here?

A: Thanks.
2: I speak for all Americans, including Jewish Cowboys.
D: I reserve the right to say Merkel is stupid. No spin bro, that's real talk.

The disgust that nationalistic right wingers have for Merkel is pretty much exclusive to nationalistic right wingers (and some on the far left).

Merkel is a center right politician. She is an extremely intelligent and competent woman (doctors degree in physical chemistry btw), and SHOCKER, she is more than just her policy on refugees. In the mind of nationalistic right wingers, showing even a slight empathy (or god forbid sympathy) towards middle eastern refugees, is akin to treason.

This was her comment btw that started the far rights obsession with her: "As a strong, economically healthy country we have the strength to do what is necessary" and ensure every asylum seeker gets a fair hearing"

This has been her latest proposed policies:

“We say it clearly: We have learned from the past,” Chancellor Angela Merkel said Wednesday morning, following a two-day government summit just outside Berlin, adding, “and we expect that people take the opportunities that we offer to integrate themselves.”

If the draft becomes law, refugees would be able to qualify for permanent residency after five years, two years longer than at present — but only if they can prove elementary German language skills, if they have a job which covers “the largest part of their keep,” and if they take part in so-called “orientation courses” on German culture and society.

“Language, work, and saying ‘Yes’ to our system of values, these are the three crucial factors for integration,” German Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière said Wednesday.

OH MY GOD! She's CRAAAZY! She's genocidal! She hates Germany! She hates white people! ARGHH..

I mean, if this ridiculous witch hunt were targeted against Swedens former prime minister Fredrik Reinfeld, I could somewhat understand it. His comments on immigration actually matched the paranoid fantasies of the far right e.g. this gem: "The only thing Swedish is barbarism. The rest of the development has come from abroad", and of course his comment on "opening our hearts and becoming a humanitarian superstate" and stuff like that.
But Merkel? It just shows how deranged the far right is. You can't even be center right anymore, without basically being the devil incarnate to them.

No, my first justification has its origins in equality, that it makes no sense for Europeans to criticize American politics while insisting that Americans can't criticize European politics. If that's complex--if it's hard for you to follow--something may be lost in translation.

I suppose basic logical concepts like this are understood in grade school, sure, but so are many other basic logical realities, like 2+2=4.

Your second comment is equally retarded, as it assumes that criticizing something is only valid when you have nothing better to do in life. By that ad hominem standard, no European should ever criticize anything about the politics of any other nation ever again. You can always say that it's more important to change your own country than criticize another country. Similarly, it's more important to have a happy marriage than either, or to get a good job. It's more important to be healthy than to criticize politics. Lots of things are more important in life than criticizing politics. What does that have to do with whether you can criticize the politics of a foreign nation? Fuck-all. Literally fuck-all. It does not have a shred of logic to it.

She has so much blood on her hands. She is aiding and abetting an illegal and violent group.

You phrased that carefully, however, it is clear you do not know you are talking about. The way she handled the refugee crisis last year showed her ineptness in that matter. She did well continuing the economic policies Schroeder put in place before her and thus people mostly think she is solely responsible for Germanys economic well being.

Her dislike for homos is one of the few issues she is not center on.

Let's face it though, she has only taken this stance because of the backlash that was directed at her. If people had just stood by while she made statements which basically gave the "okay" for everybody and their mother to cross the ocean, we may have never seen this kind of a change in her tone, so I think the criticism directed at her was warranted. It may have also saved her career as a politician, considering how her approval rates have gone up now that she has taken a stricter, more pragmatic stance towards immigration.

We may all rest easier, now that we no longer have to deal with the insanity that was prevalent around a year ago at this time. But now we have to deal with the fallout, part of which are these terror attacks and random acts of violence by people who get deported or cannot integrate to the society. This all could've been avoided by having adopted a more realistic stance towards immigration in the first place.

I don't get the impression that Germans have quite the same "We lost a game? FIRE THE DAMNED COACH!" mentality that Americans have.
Apparently they also don't have the "We lost some citizens? FIRE THE DAMNED LEADER!" mentality either.
