George Lockhart talks about Cyborg's process to cut to 135.

I didn't read but I assume it ends with her dying.

That`s not true, you had solid girls from Strikeforce who could at least make a little bit of a name for them, Ronda,Miesha,Holly(she wasn`t in strikeforce but everyone in the fight game knew her), Carmouche, Coenen, Kaufman...Some good names, Sara Mcmann...Name one 145 girl besides Cyborg who is a little bit solid has a fighter? There is no one, Coenen was the only one and she went to Bellator. The point here is, a lot of those girls that i named could make at least 140 and so the UFC could create a division and some of those could move up because 135 is starting to stabilize, the big obstacle for the UFC is that pretty much NO ONE wants to fight Cyborg, so those girls would say fuck that i could make 140\145 but i`m staying at 135, because the UFC will not pay them good money so they have no motivation to get in there. Only Miesha and Holly i believe would fight Cyborg and those 2 are contenders\champions at 135, no reason at the moment to go up.
I think she fought in the UFC because it was Brazil and they wanted to put on a legendary card, i think Cyborg will defend her belt in Invicta and who knows the next time she will fight in the UFC.

No one wants fight a Cyborg entering the cage at a 20lb weight disparity like with Cyborg's most recent fights with Ibragimova and Leslie Smith. With an 8% rule and the fighters entering the cage within 5lbs of each other, I guarantee Miesha Tate can take Cyborg down. Under the current rules and Cyborg fighting at 165lbs - no chance in hell.

That 8% rule is for real? I also think Miesha is the only girl i could bet to beat Cyborg, her style is very interesting against Cyborg, Holly is not very agressive and in spite that her counters could present problems to Cyborg, she doesn`t have the volume or power to do the job, and Cyborg will not get head kicked like those noob girls in Legacy or a delusional Ronda. So i still give the edge to Cyborg to beat Holm, Miesha on the other hand, is very tough, strong as fuck(this one is important) and great grappling, even at 140\145 i think Miesha would give Cyborg a run for her money.

End of the story. Can close the thread.

This is the most retarded comment ever. I say that cause it just gets regurgitated all the time.
It's regurgitated because it's the truth.

Sorry facts are so unimportant to you.

That 8% rule is for real?

My understanding of the 8% rule is this: It is being rolled out promotion-wide after UFC 200. On Tuesday check in of fight week, a fighter may be no more than 8% over contracted fight weight with no signs of dehydration. If fighter is more than 8% over, fighter will not be automatically pulled from the fight, but monitored by doctors to make sure severe dehydration is not being used. For a women's bantamweight fight, that means the fighter must arrive in town at no more than 146lbs.

I can't belive Cyborg made 139 and performed so well, it's only an extra 4 pounds to 135, I have faith she will make the cut and perform great. RIP fmbw division.
lol

You feel everything that is regurgitated is fact....thats sad man.....but you can "THINK" what ever you want.

If the UFC is intent on pushing women in the sport, then they need to add more weight classes. It seemed to me like they capped it at 135 in order to keep the spotlight on Rousey. Now that that isn't an issue anymore, they should just at 145.

They haven't added a womens 145 because it's the most talent shallow pool in all of MMA. A quick look at it's top ten would show anyone the division is a joke. Even then Cyborg has built her career off destroying blown up 125er's while roided to the gills and caught rigging scales.

So you think she will be the same by losing muscles (and not fat)?
The main feature on which she built her career is power, that's it. She's not technically superior, she's just overwhelmingly powerful. No more power, and she's no more a cyborg.
If she has to lose muscles, it will be very interesting to see how she performs, but I doubt she can be the same as we see now.

I'm sure Vitor performs much better on TRT too...

Didnt Jones lost a lot of the muscle mass he gained while was suspended before the OSP fight? Should be the same principle for Cyborg, muscle mass is a result of weight lifting and diet, change some of it and it will go down, or is it a lie?

No he didn't.

Again, not lies, but not fact for everyone. Or else by your definition, anyone could fight anyone. And that my friend.....is a lie

Very vague here but Lockhart stated that she can make 135 in a healthy manner but she has to lower her walk around weight prior to any kind of weight cut. In other words, atrophy muscle.

Let's wait to see that Conor vs Stipe fight. There are limits you know.

What you say is fact, just not for everyone. If you can't see that, then yes.....it sure is bliss
Yes Conor vs Stipe.

Because the 5 pounds Cybro has to lose to make 135 lbs is totally comprable to an 80 pound weight difference.

Do you even think about what you type before you hit post?

Especially since before Cybro horsemeated into the 145 weight class she weighed fought at 135 . . .

Keep ignoring facts and making excuses for your mancrush moron

Yeah she only has to cut 5 pounds.

Good one.

She "only" needs to cut 5 more pounds. You seem to be ignoring what she starts at.

It's obvious you are loosing your cool as your resulting to name calling.

It's fine you can think what you want. Its clear we don't agree on the physical strain on the body due to weight cutting.

So lets take your senario.....why would she not want to make the weight? More exposure, more money, she is obviously good enough.
