News George Foreman passed away, aged 76

I don't know, Lennox was so smart, I only saw him in a real brawl with Klitschko and that was only because he was fat and out of shape and getting desperate. He generally was very smart about how he fought. He fought great punchers like Tua, Tyson and fought smart, of course a bigger guy is going to have advantages they didn't but Lennox usually fought smart. I never watched the Mercer fight, that was one where they say he should have lost.

You wouldnt recognize Mercer. He pulls off Buster Douglas performance and still gets robbed by the judges.

I don't want to sound dramatic, but this is the first time my tears have fallen for someone I didn't personally know. Not even Maradona or Ali, athletes I admired, hit me this hard when they passed. But Foreman I admired him not just as an athlete, but for how he reinvented himself and for his faith. A true man in every sense of the word.

Sorry guys my shoulders couldn’t hold up to do justice to big George power ..I’ll get you guys in a few days .

Damn. Sad news. RIP. Aside from being an all-time great in the sport, he also showed how it's never too late to change your public persona.

An all time great , loved his run on HBO as a commentator. Huge loss for the sport. I've been watching his fights all day yesterday and even this morning. My condolences to his family.

One of my favorite sports memories as a kid was his fight with moorer. I was 10 and we had just gotten HBO the month prior. Didn't see the fight live but watched the next morning. Moms had made chorizo and eggs and I was channel surfing and came across the replay halfway through. Watched till the end and I've been a boxing enthusiast ever since. What a moment. Such a great memory.

No better fitting a tribute for Big George than watching his greatest hits

frick. relatively young too. What was the cause?

The Holyfield fight was the first I ever watched live from the US at 6 am. Fond memories. RIP.
