Genius or Criminal (Walmart Scam)

That is kind of funny. GG, Walmart.

I don't know the legality of it, but it was a good idea.

On another note I once had a store refuse to match a price even though their policy was to beat any advertised price by 5%. When I complained they basically said "Good luck suing us over $50".

See that's why Walmart pays their employees so shit. They knew something like this might happen one day.

i have no love for walmart. every time i enter the establishment, at least 3 IQ points are lost forever. if their policy is "take advantage"able, then take advantage.

No harm done. Good for that guy.

this is really going to effect walmarts bottom line

Not my proudest moment but when i was in university me and my roomates bought a Foosball table, we assembled it and then had the bright idea to keep the goalie rod and a few other parts and say they didnt come in the box. We took it back to Sams Club and got our money back. 2 days later we sent another roomate back to go buy it "as is".

the table was 560 originally and we ended up paying just 130.

its just capitalism man, if the market allows for it

I just went to Amazon and although Amazon's new price was only 99 cents off, and further that the New & Used prices start at $340, there is a listing of 90$ on there and another at $100. Both sellers are "Just Launched" lol. Wonder what happens if someone orders them?

I clicked "Seller Profile" and it says that it's not a functioning page on their site.

The guy uploads a receipt with the location and key info like a moron.

Back right out of high school I was working and this idiot comes in and tells me whatever product we had on the shelf was cheaper at this other store. So I'm like ok do you have the ad? He's like no just call them. So I pretended like I was on hold for like 10 minutes. Finally he got fed up and said "Looks like you just lost out on a sale! I'll just go there and get it. They're closer anyway!" and left. He didn't even have anything else in his cart.

Who the fuck drives past a store that has the thing you want on sale and walks into another store and makes the associate call the closer store to price match? This world is full of dumb asses.

A lot of us do that silly stuff, not because we are trying to rip them off but because it is kinda fun to see what you can get away with.

As an adult - or at least an adult not in school - I never do that type of stuff. I even point out mistakes when the cashier makes them.

i don't see how its illegal. unethical yes.

i don't feel bad for walmart losing money though, they short their employees on the reg anyway.
