Could Faber become the dog, hard to know how the public will react to this one
I think it will be close lines, but with Faber's popularity in comparison to Jimmie's I have a tough time seeing him as the dog.

Faber went from maybe retiring, to only wanting big fights, to taking on Jimmie Rivera at 203 lol

STRONNGGGGG lean in this one
Funnily enough, FS1 first reported it as a Uriah Faber versus Francisco Rivera rematch haha. They had the wrong Rivera

Larkin vs Magny at 202

Know what I want to do, and i'm happy this fight was made

Anyone thinking of going to Bellator in London? Looks like they have slashed ticket prices, you can get a good lower tier seat in Block 112 for £50 plus fees. Equivalent seats are £200 plus fees for Brook-Golovkin.

Ross Pearson fights Masvidal at 201 in a few weeks at WW

Great fucking fight. Pearson is the man, seems willing to step up and fight whenever the UFC wants him to.

Speaking of Bellator, hope we get lines today. Have a strong lean on a play i'm sure i'll get a nice price on.

Also wonder if it will air live in America and at what time.

Yeah I'm looking at tickets, where did you see those prices? I'm looking on Gumtree for now.

Yep im going. More than happy to meet up for a beer if anyone wants to.

I got block 103 for £50.

Pearson proper company man but i see another l for him.

Larkin magny what a fight.

Alot of bets available at Holly - Shevchenko, the only thing on that fight of interest is if Holly can finish her or not? Holly KO is 3.0 and DEC is 1.91. Shev DEC is 7.00 and KO 12.00...

Is Barboza woth a stab at 1.44? Im sure he will win but I rather wait for decision-line to drop.

Also looking at the lines for Lawler - Woodley, might be worth it to throw a little at Woodley KO, he hits like a truck and Lawler has just been taking so much damage in his fights. It has to come a decline soon and I fear Woodley might do it...

I also really love Barboza in this fight.

I managed to get a 3u bet in on him when he opened on Unibet @ 1.62 (-161) but even @ 1.44 (-227) I'd probably parlay him. Against Pettis he showed his striking still seems to be improving even if it's already the best in the division.

Gilbert has had some tough competition but I think a surging Edson Barboza is a horrible fight for him to come back to after a year of inactivity/PED suspension. Unlike top guys like Ferguson or Michael Johnson I don't see him being able to apply the suffacating pressure needed to deal with Barboza's crisp striking. So Melendez either needs to land a game-changer on Barbozas increasingly less suspect chin or grind it out with TD's and cage-wrestling. I think Barboza will be too strong and adept at circling out to get muscled around by Melendez against the cage and I don't think I've seen Melendez succesfully utilize a lot of wrestling since his days as Strikeforce champ.

I see Barboza having his way with El Niño, winning a dominant decision in a fight where Gilbert becomes less and less enthusiastic about engaging and ala Urijah Faber in the third fight against Cruz where it becomes more about surviving than trying to turn the tide, as the fight progresses.

Edson is probably still too flakey to ever become champion, unable to string enough wins together to get his shot and win it but on any given night he sure could be the best lightweight in the world. Gilbert though only 4 years older is a dinosaur in the MMA game compared to Edson and like he did after his fight against Pettis he will probably end up saying "He made me feel old... Kid is the new breed" or something similar.

I'll be looking out for the Barboza decision line as well - but I'll need +150-200 or better to bite.

Anyone else think it might be a good idea to fade the guys they sign on Lookin' for a Fight? They are bringing in prospects before they are ready because of a good performance thus somewhat rushing them in to the UFC before they are fully ready.

Eh. Pretty obvious Dana's eye for talent either isn't the best or they just sign these guys since they're on the show, but i'd still judge it based on the individual. They go to legit shows for regional talent, so eventually they'll come across a prospect with real potential

I agree that its better to judge it based on the individual. However, their formula is basically

A) Does he have a good looking record?
B) Does he win in a somewhat impressive fashion?
C) Is he relatively young?

Whilst if they were signed properly they would get some of the much needed experience before facing a step up in the competition. They do give them favourable match ups though, except Lopez who was give Yahya on his debut.

The latest Lookin' for a fight signing is Albert Morales, who beat Mario Israel to get into the UFC.

Wonder who they will match him up with.
