General Gaming Discussion, v3

I'm doing a Mass Effect run. Got the shitty Arrival DLC to finish before Shadow Broker finishes off ME2. Realised I didn't have a Paragon character that kept the space racist alive. Needed a Tali romance to carry across too.

Finished Fallout 3. Next is Fallout New Vegas. I'm also playing Rocket LEague and CounterStrike: GO again. Typically during the week I don't play much single-player at all.

I've been really wanting to replay Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider and Mass Effect series. But I should first get through New Vegas.

I just got put in a que trying to log into battle.net. that's a joke.

Has anyone played Zombi (formerly ZombieU) on PC/PS4/XB1 yet?

I've had Red Dead Redemption in my backlog for a couple years now and finally started playing it. Holy Shit...

I can't believe how good this game is. I just got to Mexico and just exploring is one of the best experiences I've had in a game. The story isn't super engaging but the world is pretty amazing. So glad I finally got around to it. It's holding my interest far more than GTA 4 or 5..

Red Dead's awesome. I spent hours just wandering around the wild, hunting stuff. And getting killed by never-ending cougar spawns...

I haven't found any cougars yet. I'm even finding myself getting caught up in playing poker for 30 mins. I'm struggling to find things I don't enjoy.

I wasn't too keen on Red Dead. I got tired of horses quick, and Marston never exactly took me by the nuts. Made me pine for GTA, call me an asshole

Cougars are mostly in the second and third sections, but you can encounter them when you're still in New Austin. They used the kitty cat meow for the cougars in GTA V's hunting mini-game, so you'll definitely recognise the sound if you played that. Little fuckers are fast and vicious. Lost numerous horses and a few Marstons to them :D

FUCK THE MOUNTAIN LIONS!

When I DON'T need them.... they attack like a motherfucker.

When I DO need to hunt them, can't find them.

Yep. When I needed to find some to kill them with my knife, the fuckers were nowhere to be found. Plenty of bears to gang up on me though...

I loved the world but never made it that far. Doing the bounties and races got tiring and I just kind of lost interest. Everyone raves about Mexico though. Maybe I should reconnect the PS3 and try it again.

I picked it up, got bored about 30 minutes in and never gave it another look until this past weekend. There's so much random crap to do and always something new to see, I'm so glad I decided to get back into it.

INFURIATING.

I loved the game when it first came out. I was like 21 at the time I think. Now 5 years later I actually like it way more. I just get lost doing all the random shit rather than hard charging the story like I did before.

Red Dead is amazing, and even though I wish they had added just a tad bit more to Mexico, it's still in my top 5 games all time.

Glad you picked it back up Dizzy!

would buy a New Red Dead on launch

So, was it that stupid wagon race that did you in? I hate that mission.

Red Dead is amazing, but I think most would agree that the first few hours are a little tedious. The Bonnie missions especially. Herding cattle in a videogame is about as exciting as it sounds.

Come to think of it, the game is bookended with some very boring stuff. The missions with your son near the end are awful as well.
