General Gaming Discussion, v3

Did anyone else love this game? I didn't play the single player too much but the multiplayer is still the best I've had to this day. I'm thinking about reinstalling it.

SoF 1 and 2 were both great and underrated shooters.. I was a surgeon with the throwing knives in 2.

Me too! That was by far my favorite killing technique. I'd backpedal and turn into a doorway, throwing knives and watching them curl and kill people.

Man, I miss that game. The last time I logged on (many years ago) most of the players were bots, but I am going to reinstall it soon.

SOF2 is in my top 3 games of all time. The single player wasn't much (though VERY gruesome, even to this day), but the multiplayer was incredible. It came out around the time of Max Payne and Battlefield 1942 (two other favorites), so it didn't get much recognition.

Damn, that was such a good time period for games.

I loved the SoF games back in the day but I never tried multiplayer. It was just fun straight butchering people

Killing Floor 2 kind of sounds like it'll be the spiritual successor to SoF with the effort they're putting into damage modelling

yes and no..

I just hope they don't lock multiplayer to 90fps like they did with KF1. I like making use of my 120Hz monitor.

Pretty funny diss by Tripwire.

i like how they touched other studios with a jab. They stated on they're forums that they're treating pc separately and with special treatment. Hopefully they're support my resolution :(

I think both our gripes are probably just factors of how old the game is and won't be issues in KF2. Wanna play a few rounds?

The multiplayer (at least SOF2) was amazing. The game was released in 2001 and yet I still want to play it.

Yep, was fun killing people then cutting up/shooting their corpses.

I was SUPER excited about SOF3... until I heard Raven wasn't going to be making it. I tried it over at my friend's house but it just wasn't the same.

quick question regarding the TLoU.

If I missed any of the collectibles in the main storyline or Left Behind do i get credit for it if i just get the one i missed? like how i can choose the chapter in left behind, if i just go to the chapter i missed can i just do that chapter and gte it or do I have to play through it all over again?

trying to get all the firefly pendants and the artifcats i missed as well as the optional conversations I missed

Why has the price for Spec Ops never come down? Cant find a cheap used one anywhere

i'm extremely late to the party but picked up the mass effect trilogy a few weeks back and have been playing through that. wow can't believe i just let this series go by me without ever giving it a chance.

also grabbed the hitman trilogy from the ps+ section and started going through that as well.

Holy shit bro. dat first time through ME. I'm jelly

Hitman series is good too but I'd recommend starting with Blood Money. That was the pinnacle of the series, but I'd say also the one with the smoothest learning curve

Finally got a copy of Dragon Age. I'll probably install it later today, but I wanna fuck around with the new Mount and Blade Warband XPac a bit first. Been playing The Crew, and while I think the game is good, it still feels kind of like they failed their execution. I also just find fps lock annoying, but at least it's locked at 60 instead of 30.

Oh man I wish I could forget that entire series and go through it again. I still play ME3 multi-player to this day. I almost have my manifest maxed.

If you're on Xbox 360 and want to try the MP give me a shout. GT: Hyperglide.

I am even later than you and I know I will get hell for this but I have yet to play any of them. I dont really have a reason why either just has never happened.

worth the grab, idk why i never played it either. i picked the trilogy up from gamestop for somewhere in the 20ish range, if you have plenty of free time i say grab it.

btw if you're new to ME make sure you've got the DLC setup. I don't how it is for you console folks but for PC master race it was installed seperately through BW Social Network

ME2 DLC is good - alright, but ME3 DLC is pretty essential IMO

Ill remember that whenever I do pick it up. The only excuse I have for not picking it up yet is sometimes I get bored to play single player games so they take me a little longer than normal. I always end up just playing Dota :icon_lol:
