This is a weird one for me. People say I'm a liberal though I don't really tell anybody I'm one or not one, and I'd like to support people generally but they make it so hard.

We had these stupid trainings we had to watch with the most ridiculous situations and complicated solutions. In reality, I try to call people whatever they want. If I knew Tim and Tim became Sarah, wanted to be Sarah and she, I'd go along with that because it generally just makes both our lives easier. It's polite.

In reality, every trans person I met just gently reminds people if they're called the wrong thing. You know like pretty much everyone called the wrong name or who's name is mispronounced ever where no malice involved. It goes something like this.

"Hi Tim"
"Hi, I go by Sarah now"
"Oh, sorry Sarah, I forgot"
"No problem "

But in politics and stupid shit trainings... I've done something tragic, they have been wounded to the core and are going to give me 25 minutes of their life story about why I've done such a bad thing. I've never even heard of this happening but we keep getting told it's how the world works.

Then the other side says, you have to call them Tim and he because blah blah blah something something sanctity of something and women's bathrooms.

I don't want to be on either fucking side at this point. I just want to be a normal person who tries to be accommodating and polite to anyone (of any gender) without needing a fucking lecture either way.
