Gegard Mousasi is Overrated

You just gave me a flashback to pre-UFC 200 when he was saying funny shit like "with USADA, I can become champion."

Jacare did just beat him. I do think though that he had the style to possibly beat Whittaker.

Whittaker is good but don't i see anything that make him special. is he better striker than mousasi ? hell no. is he that good of a grappler ? no.

Mousasi is very good and have a chance at beating Rob, Romero and other top MW in the UFC but people sometimes overrated him like he is some kind of MW GOAT but is undeniable he is a great fighter

I’m a fan of Gegard and I think he is a great fighter but people act like he’s Iike
he’s an undefeated p4p #1. Gegard’s UFC run was decent at best. He beat some mid tier fighters like Ilir Latifi, Uriah Hall, and Thiago Santos. But everyone else he beat were out of their prime like Dan Hendo, Leites, Belfort, and Mark Munoz. While he always lost to the guys at the top like Machida, Souza, and he even lost to Uriah Hall( which I believe is 100% a fluke), Even in Strikeforce, which I thought was his best run, he struggled with OSP, an out of prime Jardine, and lost to King Mo, who are all certified B level fighters. Mousasi always struggles against really good grapplers/wrestler like Chris Weidman, Jacare, King Mo, and Gono. His best wins are mostly against out of prime fighters but he has some impressive wins against Mark Hunt, Jacare, and Manhoef. I think Gegard is a solid fighter, but he’s always inconsistent.

Idiot, he doesn't just beat guys he destroys them. Rockhold, Romero, and Whittaker have lots of middling or past prime wins. Do you have an actual point?

The only middle weights you can say are better than Mousasi right now is Whittaker, Romero and Jacare. 4th best in the world. Not overrated at all.

Jacare doesn't even fight and is old as fuck. He may have been better than Moose in the past but he isn't right now.
