I’m a fan of Gegard and I think he is a great fighter but people act like he’s Iike
he’s an undefeated p4p #1. Gegard’s UFC run was decent at best. He beat some mid tier fighters like Ilir Latifi, Uriah Hall, and Thiago Santos. But everyone else he beat were out of their prime like Dan Hendo, Leites, Belfort, and Mark Munoz. While he always lost to the guys at the top like Machida, Souza, and he even lost to Uriah Hall( which I believe is 100% a fluke), Even in Strikeforce, which I thought was his best run, he struggled with OSP, an out of prime Jardine, and lost to King Mo, who are all certified B level fighters. Mousasi always struggles against really good grapplers/wrestler like Chris Weidman, Jacare, King Mo, and Gono. His best wins are mostly against out of prime fighters but he has some impressive wins against Mark Hunt, Jacare, and Manhoef. I think Gegard is a solid fighter, but he’s always inconsistent.

You a hater pretending to be a fan to talk shit.

Nobody acts like hes undefeated P4P #1 though..

Why did you fail to mention the Weidman fight lol. He’s top 5 in the world

Least it's not a post about Fedor.

Mousasi is a top notch fighter and championship material whether fighting in UFC or outside.

The biggest problem with Mousasi, is that he has no urgency and his TDD sucks.

He's a frustrating fighter to watch, because he's way to relaxed in there, which can be good but sometimes he is clearly losing and he still shows no urgency!

I followed him since DREAM and he has always been one of my favorite fighters.

Moose and Rory are the best fighters ever cut by UFC.

They employ 100 BS fighters and cut those 2. Naw man....cut the 100 bums.

Large numbers of low quality fighters are needed to fill all their cards though, its the business model.

KO'd Weidman, Vitor, Henderson, Uriah..

The fact you felt the need to post this is beyond moronic.

I've never understood the Gegard hype either. I've watched most of his fights. Sometimes he performs brilliantly, sometimes I'm scratching my head wondering what he's doing. Sometimes he beats high level opponents, sometimes he struggles or loses to B-tier. He's an entertaining fighter, but similar to Jorge Masvidal, he's an extremely high level gatekeeper at best. People comparing him to Rory, a clear cut top five WW with a win already over the champ, are out of their minds.

The only middle weights you can say are better than Mousasi right now is Whittaker, Romero and Jacare. 4th best in the world. Not overrated at all.
