Gane wants to take a few months off for family reasons

If he's alright with fighting by the end of this year there's no problem. He's had a very busy schedule and is very reliable.

But is he asking for more money? If not he will be fine.

No he is saying he wont be available to fight until December at least because his wife is nine months pregnant with his second child; he risked missing the birth of his child to take this fight.

Ngannou has been going on vacation, hanging out with Brandon Moreno, asking strangers to punch him in the stomache. Gane needs a few months off because he has been in camp nonstop since April and needs to help take care of his newborn.

Apples and oranges.

Its actually Dana and Co's fault...

If they payed fighters properly on a tiered system then holding the belt hostage in negotiations wouldnt be a thing
They sort of do that, once they get to PPV/Champ status they get a tiered pay according to what they sell, a fixed number doesnt work as no champ draws the same as the other and so on, im not saying is not Dana and Co's fault, im simply stating that they change their tune once they get the belt, even IC's looks like lol.

Ngannou fought 4 months ago in March, relax. Are you such a UFC shill you are really buying the whole “Francis doesn't want to fight” bullshit? Especially when him getting blackballed coincided with his tweet about not getting paid.

If thats your viewpoint don't bother responding, because you know nothing.

LMFAOOO GO FUCK YOURSELF DANA YOU BOZO
<{danayeah}><{danayeah}><31><31>

So we're just automatically believing the UFC when Francis' camp and Francis himself have said differently?

The UFC used its opening PPV segment last night to shit on Francis.

Be better than this man. I believe the fighter over the organization trying to throw a guy under the bus while he was waiting for Jones and needed another month plus to train when a fight offer came up last minute.

I'll believe Francis and his manager who called out Dana in his own comments online over the UFC and it's agenda. The company has no problem killing its fighters in the media.

Why are you comparing Gane needing a few months off to help care for his newborn child to Francis going on vacation and making weird youtube videos where he has much smaller men punch him in the stomache?

Francis won his belt in March, and was not ready to fight in August five months later.

Gane has headlined two cards in the span of six weeks.

You are being intellectually dishonest here.

If you are comparing the activity of Gane, who has headlined two cards in the past six weeks, to the inactivity of Francis you are a straight up moron.

Jones vs. Stipe for the interim interim title.

Calm your tits guys. Gane has competed three times this year alone -- all against Top 10 opponents (and the JDS fight was at the tail end of 2020 mind you) -- and he wants to take a bit of time off for the first time in forever to actually care for his wife and firstborn child. He already said he'd be willing to fight by the end of the year or early next year -- however things pan out. That's not at all unreasonable. Other less active fighters take more time off for shittier reasons all the time.

How's Conor's leg doing?
Hopefully terrible. I'm just kidding I don't like to wish serious real ill on people. I do hope it bothers the fuck out of him and is slightly painful. Also wishing him a speedy recovery.

I'm not going to say he's a duck by why the fuck do people go from active as fuck to wanting to take a break after being champ?

Unify the title then take a break.

Are you guys seriously giving him shit? Gane stated after his fight with Volkov that he wanted to take some time with his newly born child. I’m sure Dana threw money at him to take the fight with BB. He said he’d take another the fight by the end of the year, that would be 4 fights in a calendar year.

He's the most active fighter in the T15 of any division besides Holland, and the most active T3 fighter two years in a row.

Dec/Jan would be a good time. Most champs defend their belt 2 times a year anyways

Because getting the win streak to win a title is usually pretty hard, winning the title itself isn't he hardest thing in the sport. The win streak before (earning the shot) and win streak after (Defenses) are the hardest parts. The title is practically a relief in a lot of situations. And because belts are leverage, hence the UFC fights to control them.
