Gane is born and built to beat Jon Jones

Gane has good TDD it’s just that he kept trying to catch Ngannou in submissions. Jon hasn’t really even wrestled in like 5 years anyways
I feel that you're overplaying Gane's TDD and underplaying Jones offensive wrestling. Ngannou landed 4/5 takedowns on Gane with 8 mins of control and hit a sweep on Gane. Supposedly Ngannou's knee was blown before the fight even began. He has tons to work on with wrestling and his ground game. Don't get me wrong he can plug up that portion of his game like Ngannou did, I just feel like right now he's not on that level yet. If he fills up that weakness, he's going to be almost impossible to beat.

Francis didn’t land clean once on Ciryl and you think he could land on Jon?

Jones has a good defense when he's fighting guys with a foot less reach than him. He tends to get touched when he doesn't have the crazy physical advantages he normally has. Jones' thing isn't really defense, it's length. DC touched him plenty. So did Gus. I'm very interested to see how he handles someone like Ngannou.

I understand what you're saying, but comparing Jones and Gane is apples and oranges. They have VERY different styles.

There wasn’t a sweep

He got taken down by a guy with no grappling
Pico Jones took DC Down
Do the math

Jon did such a good job taking down and holding down; Santos, Reyes, Gustafsson, right?
Gane is kindaa bigger? ;)

Its ok you like Jon, lets pray mate!

Ofc Jon will never accept this fight, hes smart.
He left LHW after getting beat up by one-legged Santos and Reyes
His game-selection is as Good as his fighting IQ

Jones hasn't even fought at heavyweight and we are putting him against the #2 after a performance like that? Jones will try to use his knee push kicks and fingers in the face while he jogs around the cage. Unfortunately with the extra weight his speed and stamina will no longer satisfy his goto stylistic tendencies.

HW is the most interesting it has been in a long time.

I disagree, we could argue all day about it and neither of us would change our minds. But I'll with it and say it was a sub attempt, it's still a low IQ choice to do in the last round of a championship match and the fact he couldn't finish it means he still has more to work on with his ground game even if you think it was a good idea.

I don't think Jon Jones will ever fight again in the UFC tbh

Gane just got dropped by some random fat guy. Imagine what a ripped, muscular athlete like Jon would do to him

Jones is 100% not tested at HW. I would be surprised if he could hang with anyone in the top 5. This is why he wants one last fat check to ride into the sunset.

If Jones thought he himself was that good, he would be willing to take another fight. He was not impressive with his last couple of fights at LHW.

Jones is too shook to fight at HW you damn neckbeards, give up the talk already.

Just because you thought Francis had no grappling doesn't mean it was true that he had no grappling.

Also, element of suprise. Gane didn't see it coming.

At this point I don't even want stipe to take it if it's available. He's 40 now.
I do, I don't think he's totally shot. He had Ngannou on skates in the last fight and only got folded backwards when he ran in. Jon's not going to be able to do that most likely. I think it would still be a good fight and I could easily see Jon getting finished.

So, at HW Jon won't wrestle anymore?

Not sure, but he wrestled a lot less his last few years at LHW.

If Jon still has the knees and the drive to wrestle at a high level, he'll be a successful HW imo. If not, guys like Gane are very tough match ups for him, again imo.

fook miocic he is done, give Jones to Gane, he will do to Jones what Jones did to LHW during ten years but in splendid fashion
Of course Gane would beat him. But bruh, do you really think Jon Jones would ever step into the Octagon with a heavyweight that could beat him?

The only reason Jones is fighting Stipe, is because Stipe is 40 years old and Jon is pretty sure that Stipe is too old to be a threat.
