4 days ago Mateusz Gamrot said in interviev, he knows oponent and date. And says its something big.
But who can it be?
Ranking above him almost no one avilable, only Chandler and Poirier.
But Chandler is waiting for Connor and Poirier said he dont want to fight gamrot.
Any ideas?
Mayby Benoit, but its not really fair to gamrot fighting someone below him.
2 wins streak and he was fucked by UFC on islam fight and he still made weight.

Poirier maybe, though I'm not sure he's enough of a name to get Dustin "excited".

Gamrot vs Poirier actually makes sense even from Dustin’s perspective

Gamrot just weighed in as the back up for Volk/Islam, the guys as close to a title shot as it gets

Dustin says he will only do a big fight or someone that gets him a title shor

Gamrot win puts him up there in the title Convo

If Mateusz Gamrot "can't say," then nothing is actually scheduled ...

He probably has been offered something big like Poirier but hasnt been signed from the other side so he cant spill the beans just yet.

Oliveira is a possibility that hasn’t been mentioned yet. #1 contender fight since it’s not looking like Islam will fight until after Ramadan. Co-main for 298?

That IS the fight that Gamrot has been chasing, and it would probably appease him after he was upset about not getting to fight Islam at 294 after flying out and cutting weight as the official backup.

Probably Gaethje because Poirier & Gamrot train together, and Charles is next. Doubt Gaethje would/will accept. That's probably why Ali has been recently publicly open to the Max fight for Gaethje.

Islam/Charles 2 isn't happening until June/July so Gaethje needs to fight again & Max is a better match up on paper.

I am pretty sure that it's either Oliveira or Chandler but what if the opponent is actually not a lightweight but someone going up from fw?
Someone like Holloway for example?

Gaethje lol no chance it's Gaethjeas Justin either fights Islam, Conor, or a 3rd Dustin fight to settle trilogy.

Gamrot fighting either Dustin or Benoit. Likely Benoit n that's a GREAT FIGHT

It's definitely not POirier

1. They both train at ATT, close training partners even too
2. Poirier is very adamant he's not fighting nobodies anymore to close out his career, he only wants huge fights.

Does Gaethje have anything lined up? Doubt he'd take it, but would make more sense to have them fight each other for a title shot than to just give everyone in the division title shots individually for winning 2 fights after recent losses.

Maybe main eventing a paris fight card in March against benoit. As a fellow european, gameot might like that and can probably get a lot of his polish people to make the trip over

Hopefully Poirier. Time to match these contenders up against each other.

100% not BSD. Benoit is too far apart from Gamrot. He needs at least one more ranked fight to even think about fighting top 6 guy. Gamrot said in the interview that it may not be a very big fight for some, but it's a big fight for him. He called out Oliveira and Gaethje before, so they're definitely out because these two would be big for everybody. People start to chirp about RDA, who wanted to replace Dan Hooker and fight Bobby Green. It could be a big fight for Gamrot as RDA is a former champion and a well known fighter. But it can also be Chandler. Recently he posted a video with a caption "Flowin’… ready when you are kid…". I know that it can simply be directed towards McGregor, but the word "kid" suits someone like Gamrot more than it suits Conor. But then he retweeted Dana talking about Conor vs Chandler in summer, so probably not? Unless he is confident he could beat Gamrot and warm up before his big fight against McGregor? But overall, now I'm leaning most towards RDA and Gamrot may finally put him in the retirement.
