I still need to sell my 1070ti and I can't believe they are still going for over $250 on ebay. I see some selling for $300. This is all preowned not even new. Didn't expect to get that much back for it.
I just flipped a year RTX 2080 for $550, just $60 less than I bought it. The price on it will drop a lot once this shortage is through. It is a beefy card that only Cyberpunk's ray tracing could choke it. 10xx cards are still great if you are not doing 4k or raytracing. 10xx compete with 20xx at non-4k resolutions. Raytracing I think is a bit of a red herring a the moment. I think the bigger story is DLSS, which I believe will only get better from where it is without the great leaps in hardware that ray tracing will need.
These EVGA coolers apparently have godawful instruction manuals for installation, and are a bit of bitch to install. @MusterX alerted us to this difficulty for the series when he upgraded his CPU cooler. Once installed, though, it's a Tier 1 cooler. Learn from his trials:
Man, I just got around to looking over that Techspot RTX 3060 Ti review. With the RX 5700 XT vs. RTX 2060 Super showdown fresh on my mind after just revisiting that, my eyes were drawn to its peers, and the real story from his benchmarking roundup was how it's an insult the 5700 XT was ever compared to the 2060 Super.
In fact, the 5700 XT beat the RTX 2070 Super in 11 of the 18 tested games, a card with a $100 higher MSRP, but which practically averaged +$150-$190 on the open market the past year and a half. The 5700 XT also won the overall average:
- Godfall: 52 > 50
- AC: Valhalla: 59 > 54
- Dirt 5: 68 > 61
- Death Stranding: 108 > 103
- Clancy's R6 Siege: 189 > 186
- F1 2020: 127 > 113
- Gears 5: 74 > 71
- Horizon: Zero Dawn: 70 > 66
- AC: Odyssey: 66 > 58
- World War Z: 125 > 123
- Doom Eternal: 179 > 175

Jesus, you're worse than my old lady.
Godfall - AMD optimized
Dirt 5- AMD optimized
Death Stranding - AMD optimized
F1 2020 - AMD optimized
Gears 5 - AMD optimized
Horizon Zero Dawn - AMD optimized
Now let's look at the 1440p charts, where you should be looking for these cards

I think you just proved his point.
Yes, the 5700xt is great today but with those new technologies getting implemented more and more it's going to fall behind because it lacks those features meanwhile the current Nvidia cards support those features already.
"They're AMD optimized!" NVIDIA optimized titles:
- Metro Exodus
- Watch Dogs: Legion
- Wolfenstein: Youngblood
LMFAO, "now let's look at those charts at 1440p!!" Dead heat.
Every game FPS side-by-side I reprinted was at 1440p. The 5700 XT wins the majority of games & ties overall at 1440p, meaning it wins at 1440p, and it wins handily at 1080p.
Against a card that has averaged $150-$190 more since they launched.
A lot of these titles just came out. So much for AMD's shitty launch drivers. 5700 XT aging like a Grand Cru. What hasn't aged well? Posts defending the RTX 2060 Super as the better buy.

As I've tried to explain numerous times, the physical raw rasterization hardware advantage ages better than a glorified upscaling/compression algorithm that isn't even apples-to-apples, especially when it only adds support at a rate of 2 games per month.
Take Techpowerup's separate gaming roundups where NVIDIA fared better. The first was at the RX 5700 XT's launch. The second is their most recent video card review (for the XFX RX 6800 XT Speedster). These were 23 and 21 game roundups, respectively.

Oh, look, a dumb deflective GIF in the absence of a meaningful rebuttal or any data whatsoever to support a position.

"seem to?" lolz. You seem to take these conversations personal for some reason, I don't care enough to do the same.

So if I could get them there stimulus bucks in the amount of like $2000 that'd be fucking swell.... just throwing this out there politicians... YOU FUCKS!dammit, i almost went to micro center last night. they probably didn't stock these until overnight/this morning, but now they have 5600x, 5800x, and (1 single [evga, $809] ) 3080 in. I hate that I got my tower PC fixed now as I keep staring at parts lists and shit. So now I have TWO expensive as fuck hobbies given ammunition prices is like trying to buy Walter Whites blue ice compared to gutter meth right now.
I found like 1000 rounds of 5.56 I forgot I purchased and 500 of 9mm but I also chewed through a fair amount back in September and October going shooting so when I have like 5k of 5.56 and 3k of 9mm, I have more than enough to go target shooting some but my brain is like "IT'S NOT ENOUGH!"i bought cases of ammo years ago. should have bought more. recently saw what the rejected lots of (x)m855 are going for... and i've been wondering if i should just sell some.
(and most of my shooting buddies reload)
and the 5600x is now out of stock, too. so i guess i have no reason to go there tonight.
