If there is real money to be made here, then shouldn't there be hedge funds on the "holding GME" side?
Lol @ calling Gme a pump & dump..it’s like I’m talking to Jim Cramer.
-If Gme truly squeezes the hedge funds against it won’t even be around to reopen positions.
-They can’t do this forever. The longer they kick this can the more absurd amounts of money they lose and the more attention they bring on themselves and their shady tactics. Ken Griffin and Citadel are currently under DOJ investigation as we speak,l.

as you speak, you... you what?
oh my god, the hedgies killed him!
RIP, mmaelite53. we had some good times.
Even if on very different levels, scum vs scum match-up lol
No because they assumed gme price would tank so they all (most I assume) shorted it thinking it was a sinking ship.If there is real money to be made here, then shouldn't there be hedge funds on the "holding GME" side?
There is a market for nostalgic everything. Most of it resides on obscure mom and pop shops or ebay, heck there is even like one Blockbuster Video left. Not 4,816 retail stores. There will always be a niche market for old physical media.
It’s not Reddit vs Wall Street
It’s the working class vs Wall Street.
These guys steal from everyone’s 401k, crash the economy by being absurdly over leveraged on bad derivatives, and then make us tax payers bail them out to the tune of trillions.
I think of gamestop the way I think of vinyl record shops. They cater to people who want the traditional experience of having hard copies of media. Whether you agree with it or not, there's a healthy slice of the population who prefer certain media the old fashioned way. Come to think of it, I'm that way about books and comics. I can get that stuff within seconds on my kindle but I prefer having a book in my hand when I'm reading. Can someone explain what problem GameStop resolves?
Its 2022, I can download an entire game in an hour.
...so now the evil hedgies are banks, too?
Yes. Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and others are the prime brokers for the institutions shorting GME.

...but you were just blaming citadel and melvin.

you understand that those guys can..you know...work together, right?

lolz @ being so fucking clueless that you can't even explain the premise... think it's january 2021 and now apparently merged it with the 2008 GFA as if it's the same thing/people.

I’ve been explaining it to you this whole thread and all you’ve done is deny what is right in front of your eyes.
bruh, citadel isn't bank of america.
I said BOA is working with citadel, not that they’re the same thing. BOA is one of the prime brokers for citadel and other hedge funds.
The banks lend the shares to citadel and make money off the cost to borrow fees. Not a hard concept to wrap your head around man.
you're just making up bullshit. and you're not even doing a good job of that, either.
ffs, if you're going to don a tin foil hat and start writing fiction, you may as well throw assassinations and 911 into the mix. 'melvin killed jfk because he was about to expose the gamestop short-selling conspiracy involving the 2008 gfa!'
