Don't they have another 8,000 "unsullied to be"? I thought she was negotiating for everyone in the episode where she agreed to trade a dragon for the army.

I keep thinking its going to be a good long while until she is really on the scene. Who can stop the white walkers? Nobody....Dany and her dragons are probably the only ones that will wield that sort of power.

Think about it, if the white walkers threaten all of the kingdoms with destruction and Dany stops them with dragons, then she wins, she is the rightful Queen of the realm. If that is the case then it might actually be 1 or 2 more seasons before she crosses the narrow sea.

This is the exact same thing here. In the Dany hatefest I have corrected people saying stuff like Dany's character has faced zero adversity and shown that to be factually false and then am called a white knight. Why because when a hate fest is on all facts be damned.

And just like then you are doing the same thing now. Not providing one iota of proof, stripping it of context and generalizing the entire thing as white knighting. I cannot stand Shae's character for the record. Glad when she was gone. But I still will correct the record when things are misstated or presented very one sided.

And you should simply avoid posting to me as I do to you since this great discussion thread just gets derailed. You will notice I do not engage you since I find your posting and characterization extremely dishonest and not conducive to anything resembling a good discussion. Several people have laid out exactly why she's getting so much hate compared to the others. You're either incapable of grasping very simple things, or you're arguing just for the sake of it.

Thought they said it would take a while to train any extras. Then she killed the masters and freed everyone, so im guessing they arent doing the training anymore.

Im sure itll be at least two seasons, doesnt mean people wont bitch about it, including me. SHe still has a lot to do (in her mind) before she crosses the sea. My guess is fire and dragons glass is the only thing that can stop the walkers, so the dragons will probably be the key weapon to stop them and the others.

Like I said, I find it fascinating how fans view the characters on this show. Look at this poll for example. Tywin is a self serving cold hearted man and that is the nicest thing I can say about him yet people fall out of their chair trying to like him. He's a dick head.

you will be accused of white knighting if you try and view all characters through a similar lens.

your point is my point. Not that Shae or Dany (who gets similar hate) is good or a great character but rather to the level of vitriol and often times irrational and factually wrong the complaints often are, and the idea that if you do anything other than pile on, then you are white knighting.

I have never liked Shae's character in this show. Never praised her. But when you look at her journey and the situations she has been in the show, it is certainly understandable that as a dumb person she would be exactly where she is now saying exactly what she is saying in this cut throat world where honour seems to have few rewards, and looking out for #1 seems the only way to succeed.

Did people really expect her to volunteer herself for torture and death and go out on her shield? Did she seem to have that much character prior.

I think there was a point where she was willing to die WITH Tyrion fighting for their doomed relationship if that was to be the cost. Rightly or wrongly she saw him as not willing to do the same and she seems to have seen his actions as a betrayal. Our view that she should be smarter than that, does not inform her view or how she should act once on the stand.

Who cares the point is that these were the best killers from the iron island and they had to go there to prove that they can't just fuck around with iron island and they failed miserably.

if she rushed over to KL without all the lessons she is learning the complaint would be how stupid it is that she went from Princess, to slave wife to near Empress level with no character growth shown or lessons. How the f*ck does she now have any capacity to rule???

it seems very ADD (very Just Bleed) to want to rush her into action without any of the necessary character arc to show why she can be a true threat and potential leader.

Yes.
Because if said friend constantly made an effort previous to convince you to leave FOR your own good, and was honest with you - and then suddenly in an uncharacteristic manner he/she berates you to get you to leave then you're an idiot for not reading between the lines.

Not even to say she should have realized that moment. That's fair that she didn't - but the fact that she never seemed to question that conversation and think, maybe there was something more there.... is idiotic.

Now you're just playing devils advocate. You admitted to her being stupid a couple posts ago.

who Shae or Dany? I have defended them both and do not like Shae character at all and find her one of the least attractive and was glad when she left. Dany character I like but the actress playing her I wish they could replace as I find her very weak and not up to the task of showing the gravitas the character is supposed to have.

Oh but wait, guys are hating on them so if someone says 'they are both sluts cheating with one another all through the show', I should not correct it and just agree. Because once a character is not liked facts or accuracy be damned. It is all about the hate. :redface:
