Television Game of Thrones S08E06 Discussion Thread: Burn them all! (the writing staff) | Our Watch has ended

Would have been a lot more meaningful if they didn't force their unnecessary hook up upon us.

After all they've been through together, don't you think it would have been strange if they DIDN'T hook up?

The night after they won a battle they were certain would kill them?

Their relationship has been one of my favorite parts of this show since they first met. In the show, anyways. In the books they made her pretty repulsive.

They both lost their loves to violence.
They nearly died themsevles right before it happened.
Unlocked.
Of course it was meant to happen.

In that Group , I look at it as Sansa learning a lot from Little Finger and Cersei you want it you have to take it. Every Leader there could have also did what they did but they showed how weak they are, even Yara didn't want to take the standard Grey Joy L and then Edmure's bitch ass can't even stand up to his niece.
Good post.

Going to go against the grain here and say that the finale wrapped it up pretty nicely. Dany had to die, as her psychosis in burning down King's Landing showed. Jon got reunited with Ghost and the wildlings. Sansa finally completed her arc in rising from little bird to queen of the North. The only silly part is Arya and her sudden interest in sailing.

Enhances it really.

He didnt get to the Hof by not being Hof Worthy

I think the only reason they made Bran king because he was the most unlikely choice

This is the era of doing the complete opposite of what people expect/want

First Last Jedi and now this...writers/directors trying to be cool and different by flipping off the fans

Highlight of the season was the music in The Long Night

I mean it's objectively the best choice to be king.

Absolutely hated that Jaime hit and quit Brienne just to go back to Cersei. Their relationship would have been far more meaningful if they never hooked up, imo. And if they insisted on it, thought the execution was totally off.

"Cersei is hateful......and so am I."

Its not just unexpected, its the closest thing they have to not end up the way shit has always been.

The CGI creatures had the best Performances, Ghost getting love and looking so happy to see Jon and Drogon trying to wake up his Mom.

Just wish the writing was better for the season. It took them damn near 2 years and this Season still felt so rushed.

I dont understand how they expect everything to pop if they dont know where their going with their character ahead of time.

Everyone loves Bronn.

Stop being a goddamned hipster.

Bronn's cool and all but they clearly had to force him in post S4 because he was such a popular character.....not that I'm complaining. His interaction with Jaime in S5-S7 were really good, despite being anchored with the Dorne debacle.

His entire S8 was pretty confusing all round.
