Television Game of Thrones S08E06 Discussion Thread: Burn them all! (the writing staff) | Our Watch has ended

Why did prisoner Tyrion decide everything lol.

And how did they know that Jon killed Dany? There was no evidence. Did he seriously walk out and say "Oh yeah, I stabbed yer queen and killed her. The dragon took her. Sorry lol"
Probably since Jon is an idiot

At that point, I assume he was acting as a mouthpiece for the people of Horn Hill? It's weird since being in the Night's Watch and being a maester preclude him from titles.
Yeah at this point details escape the writing

I found it funny that there was no public reveal or reaction for bran being king. Just dragon pit to dungeon to the dock to the council room then north and end lol.

<[analyzed}>

Bran tells Sansa he'd be a bad leader when they tell him that he's the rightful ruler of Winterfell.

Well, he's not wrong. The current North compared to the other kingdoms requires a strong ruthless leader after all that's happened. That falls into Sansa's skill set rather than Bran's

There was no public left to react. They got deaded.

Lol at Hitler Dany letting Jon speak to Tyrion at that point knowing what they all know..

So so we know if Jon actually joined the wildings or he was just on night's watch duty to relocate them?

Night’s watch. Once you take the Black you can’t go back.

Why didn't Grey Worm and the unsullied kill Jon??

Good question. Probably, because they wouldn't have been able to decide who should give the order to kill him? Once Dany died, the Dothraki would have been like, "I ain't taking no orders from the dickless wonder."

So why the need to kill Dany at the end there? She didn't seem crazy, she had some logic and still had good intentions to change the world. Now of course she was wrong and it was a bad thing, but every character in this show has done something fucked up, redemption has been important. If she's the mad queen and has to go, I want to see that.
Is she really dead though? Where’s her body and Drogon?

Yeah, pretty sure he was going to be a Wildling. That's why they made a point of showing the gate closing behind him. They knew he wasn't coming back. Also, technically, they can say he's a Ranger now for the NW north of the wall like Benjen was.

If you look closely. You can see the Dothraki being loaded on the boats with the Unsullied. No way they were sticking around for winter. I'm more surprised they didn't decide to try a coup once Dany died.

Did they?

I would have thought they wouldn't have wanted to ride on the wooden ships again

That's not really the same thing as the more things change though. But I see your point

My bigger point is about the execution
Poor writing and rushed execution made the final product not as good as it could have been. There’s an underlying issue of GOT having a monopoly on viewship. They didn’t have to try to create great writing to break viewing records and make money. The actors slowly got paid more and more and HBO said here’s your budget make it work. And the end result was less effort and an inferior product.
