Game of Thrones final season pushed to 2019

Another year = streams of dog feces

Will wait though, monicas. For the violence, the tits and the dragons.

And its only 6 episodes. Lol at waiting nearly 2 years for that. My passion for the show will die by then
mine kind of died with the final episode of this season it wasn't as captivating .the season started interesting then it got lame in the final episodes.

Meanwhile Fatty will not release Winds of Winter by the time it airs.

I'm done thinking it will ever be released before he's 6 feet under. He's way more invested in writing other GOT related stuff and side projects. I also think he's scared that people will shit on it and doesn't want to deal with that possibility.

On topic, thanks HBO. You basically confirmed what we already knew for a while. How about a date, or a month, fuck I'd even take what quarter/season it's going to start.

Change the thread title to 8th season. There will be no 9th season. Misleading.

@zuul

Weird the amount of people who think this is news. They flat out said it would be at least a year and a half, before the previous season had even started airing yet. I guess some people don't stay glued to all this shit, but up yo nerd game.

imagine being such a sad piece of shit that youre mad that a rich dude doesnt want to write a book for you as fast as possible

Do you read a lot?

It's frustrating investing a lot of time in a story that may never finish.

Most authors feel a sense of responsibility to their fans. Others don't. Personally, I used to avoid stories that hadn't ended yet, unless I knew the author was going to complete it (some authors are incredibly prolific). I am so glad I didn't read GRRM in real time (although his last couple were so bad I would have stopped caring).

I feel the same way about television shows now. So many get canceled, there simply isn't enough time to invest in shows that will never finish. There was one show I loved that was canceled on a cliffhanger, and the show-runner was so angry he refused to even suggest what he had planned for the resolution. It was a pretty obnoxious screw you to the fans of the show, it literally only hurt the people who cared about his vision.

granted it's a little silly, but go back and rewatch it in scenes on like youtube. there's actually a lot of really good, interesting scenes that i think were overlooked by being overly eager for the show.

there's a lot of interesting dialogue that still explores the characters. i love the conversations the jon snow group has walking north of the wall. the conversations with jon snow and dany when they first meet is actually quite good too, as as well as jon and theon.

the storyline in winterfell is the weakest with littlefinger plotting against sansa and arya, even after rewatching it all. and naturally, all the scenes with cersei are boss mode.

and, rewatching the dany / lannister fight, it's pretty fuckin brutal and it really delivers.

which i know, the traveling component of the season was pretty ridiculous, even with flying. but if you can overlook that, there's still a lot to appreciate in the season even if it's not a top tier season.

Some stand alone scenes are good, like the dragon attack on the Lannisters. But even that was stupid and dumb. Dany was running out of supplies and she fucking burned all the supplies. And Jamie didn't die and wasn't even captured. WTF.

Conversations north of the wall were good? Like Jon wanting to give his valerian steel sword to Jorah on the way to meeting the zombie army. WTF.

Winterfell. What a pathetic, pitiful plot twist. When Sansa said "Lord Baelish" turning her head on the last episode, I facepalmed. Cringeworthy.

It was too dumbed down, too stupid. I can't make myself like it. I just fucking hate it.

lol honestly, if you don't get that part of the episode, then honestly you aren't a particularly interested fan of the show. you just showed up for the tits and violence and now suddenly you are pretending to be this big amazing fan all disappointed in the show.

they were also all equipped with dragonglass weapons so....yea. honestly, you just sound like one of these book twats that does nothing but whine and cry over something b/c you were there first and you are upset that it's so popular.

or, you are one of those twats that just likes being angry all the time on the internet. neither are interesting to talk to and it's a boring schtick to be quite honest.

Maybe , but I was a pretty big fan. The short seasons and long times between has turned me off. I can’t even remeber who all the characters Alive still anymore are and wtf they were currently doing
I can but I don't play on my phone and text people when I watch.

It’s a guessing game now? Ok. Let me guess. You are a dumb simpleton that loved a dumbed down GOT. Have fun, Dick!

Yeah, let’s trade my sword for your dragon glass DAGGER! As if they were talking about trading weapons. Jon Dummy Snow just wanted to give him his sword.

Maybe watch again to get all the details? Maybe fuck off? No use discussing with you, you liked that shit. Derp.

This is a GoT thread, not a guess what robertcop2 is thread. And nobody gives a shit if you are bored. Just fuck off, dumbass.

Can't believe the amount of vitriol toward the series. Even if season 7 may have been the worst of the series thus far, I still thought it was better than most of the TV shows I watch by a significant margin.

I watch those Netflix Marvel shows and even the best of those- Jessica Jones and Daredevil and Luke Cage in my opinion- had nothing on the more lackluster seasons of Game of Thrones.

I completely disagree, Season 7 was awful. It was watchable because we are already invested in the characters and the world.

There are super basic issues with the writing in every episode that could've been resolved with a logical minded script editor. It's like they wrote the big, important scenes first and then half-assed the lead up to those scenes.

This was exactly their thought process. Idiots.
