Gaethje's Return

Gaethje will have his hands full for Chandler. Chandler actually matches up well with him and its going to be a wild fight. I favor Gaethje, but won't be shocked at all if Chandler upsets him.
I'm not sold just yet. I thought Will Brooks would've been top material and he got his shit handed to him by Ross freaking Pearson on the tail end of his illustrious career.

“He should go fight in Japan where the competition is easier or go back to fighting amputees”

Sherbros and Kenny Florian

5-3 in the ufc, coming off a loss, its laughable that he thinks he should get a title shot. Immediately after losing to Khabib he said he want to fight again asap, now he's acting all entitled.

I'm a big fan but he needs to get real.

Is he going to show up to fight from now on? Horrible showing against Khabib. Was beaten before they closed the cage door. Flushed all his cred he had earned by dominating Tony.
He showed up to fight. Its just no one really knows how to stay in front of Khabib for very long. He realized how hard it was and started to panic. In that Justin was like anyone else who has fought Khabib, really

I have a feeling when khabib vacate the title it will be JG v MC for the title.

Besides wrestling (and I seriously doubt Chandler can do what Khabib did) and punching power, Gaethje is better everywhere: technical striking (as seen in recent fight), leg kicks, etc. You need to go back and watch Chandler's last fight with a Friere brother as well as his fights with Will Brooks, a total UFC flop. Oh, I forgot PEDs. Chandler has had a big edge there being outside USADA, but their residual benefits will decrease over time.

I think that fight just goes to show how good Khabib really is, Justin is no joke, legit af and Khabib made him look like an amature. He was "off" because of the fear of the takedown, just like everyone else who has faced Khabib, his grappling is just too dominant for the current LW division.

I'd say win at least 1 top ranked fight then back in he mix. Would be a good follow-up to whatever they are planning post Conor v Porier, Tony v Oli and with Chandler falling in somewhere or vs Justin.

Hooker's worth a mention kinda and Benny is streaking but a bit on the side.

So much fun to be had in the top 15 (or so).

You both might be right but I am amazed that Justin put up such a poor showing. I would expect with his skill set that he would’ve done better than some of the others. What it looked like was a guy that knew he was beaten before the fight started. The “happy to be here” body language after the fight was off too. He looked like it went about how he expected it to go. So, like I said, in my opinion, Khabib won the fight before it started. That’s a pretty big statement. To me, Khabib is in Ali/Tyson territory as far as that goes at this point.

Stylistically Justin was probably more confident than any of Khabib's recent opponents. He was the first opponent with a wrestling background, TDD and KO power all in one package.
And in the end, it didn't even matter. Khabib was just that good. Hands down the LW GOAT and an all-time great

I don't think people understand the strength of Khabib till he's actually on you. Remember Dustin complaining he just can't get him off him. And when he's went for the finish on both Justin and Dustin and McGregor for that matter, they tapped almost instantly. Wrestling bears from a young age has to make you strong af and he's showed it.

i think that if tony wasn't stupid, he would take the fight to the floor (even by pulling guard) on the 3rd round, and win pretty easily.
he has fight iq of a cow + his need to show that he can beat everywhere.
tony is the type of guy that will try to win vs charles on the ground.

I really like JG but against Khabib his horrible groundgame got exposed.
I guess if you concentrate on brawling your whole MMA career and don't work on implementing previous wrestling experience into your game shit like that will happen.
Still suprised that he did worse than Connor even.

He tried a couple times, half arsed attempts but Justin was having none of it. Justin knew he had to keep his distance and pick him apart with superior footwork and striking.
As for the Charles fight I honestly think Tony's best chance is on the ground. Don't get me wrong Charles is a beast on the ground but he leaves himself open to submissions in his own attempt at one, and to give Tony that space is dangerous. I think his best bet is to keep it standing, his stand up game has improved ten fold over the past year or 2.
